Solihull Soiree: Pink Tutu Takes On the Midlands! (Post #1053)

Hey lovelies! It's Emma here, and let's just say, things have been positively twirling! ๐Ÿฉฐ

My last few weeks have been a whirl of travel and ballet, but who's complaining, eh? After all, a girl's got to chase her dreams, right? And let me tell you, chasing them feels oh-so-good when you're in a gorgeous, floaty, pink tutu!

Speaking of, my latest find in the world of tutus was a dream! It's this utterly fabulous, European-inspired style, all silk and lace and swishy movement. I just had to grab it and I've already worn it to several performances. You'll be seeing it on the blog soon, I promise!

But enough about tutus, for now at least. Let's talk about my recent adventure in the lovely Midlands! You know how I love exploring Britain by train, so I packed my bags, hopped on the carriage, and headed off to Solihull.

Now, Solihull's a right little gem. Not too far from the hustle and bustle of Birmingham, but just far enough to feel like a different world. There's this lovely park, the perfect spot for a picnic lunch, and, to my utter delight, I found the most beautiful wildlife park. Imagine, squirrels scurrying around, birds chirping, and the sun shining down! ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ˜€๏ธ Honestly, it's enough to make a girl want to dance!

Of course, a trip to the Midlands wouldn't be complete without a proper ballet fix. I hit the Royal Ballet Theatre at the Birmingham Hippodrome and oh, the joy! Such artistry, such grace, such fabulous costumes. And I don't think I can express enough how much I loved the entire performance - it was pure magic. I could have sat there forever and not noticed the time passing.

And wouldn't you know it, after the show, there was this delightful little tea shop with a terrace right next to the theatre! Tea, cake, and good company โ€“ I honestly don't think life could be much more perfect. โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿฐ

But here's the best bit: as I was strolling through the park later that afternoon, who did I bump into? Why, none other than a fellow tutu enthusiast! She's been following the blog for years and I just knew I had to share my excitement with her! And wouldn't you know, she loved my pink tutu and, even better, she said I inspired her to finally start ballet classes! ๐ŸŽ‰

Honestly, that's what it's all about, isn't it? Sharing my passion, my love for the elegance and joy of dance. I truly believe everyone should have the chance to experience the magic of ballet, even if it's just for a quick twirl or two. So here's to my new friend, and to everyone else out there: don't be shy, put on your favourite pink tutu, and let your inner dancer shine! ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Now, speaking of shining, let's move on to a little outfit inspiration.

Solihull Style:

I wanted my look to be both chic and comfortable, ready for exploring the town and attending the ballet performance. This was the perfect occasion to show off my latest European-inspired tutu. Its intricate lace details were the perfect touch against my simple, yet sophisticated black top. To top it all off, I added my favourite statement necklace and a pop of colour with my bright pink handbag โ€“ because, hey, a girl's got to be on theme! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now, you know I'm a firm believer that shoes can really elevate your look. For my Solihull outing, I chose a pair of gorgeous black ballet flats with delicate straps, comfy and stylish. ๐Ÿฉฐ

But let's face it, a real princess can't wear the same outfit every day. That's why I packed a backup option: a vibrant pink blouse paired with a fitted, high-waisted, black skirt. I also slipped on a delicate chain bracelet to add that extra bit of bling, and of course, my favourite ballet shoes for extra comfort. You can never go wrong with a classic black pair. ๐Ÿ–ค
