East Ham, Post 1113: Feathers and Flounces, All in Pink, Darling!

Oh my darlings, it's your favourite tutu-tastic blogger Emma, back with another post from a day full of fabulousity! Today was a real whirlwind of ballet, beauty, and bright pink – just the way I like it!

I started my day with a bang in the form of a delightful train journey to East Ham. Let me tell you, nothing beats that fresh, clean carriage scent and the gentle rhythm of the tracks for setting the day off right. Oh, and did I mention I wore a fabulous feather-adorned tutu for the occasion? Peachy pink with a dash of turquoise, a truly flamboyant fashion choice for the train. Honestly, my darlings, I could write a whole post dedicated to my travel tutus – the possibilities are endless!

The highlight of my trip was, of course, attending a marvelous performance by the London City Ballet. We saw “Giselle,” and oh, my stars, it was breathtaking! The dancers, the music, the costumes – every detail was a pure masterpiece. The way the ballerinas floated across the stage, the precision of the choreography… I felt goosebumps rising as I watched the dancers tell the tale of the heartbroken Giselle through their grace and passion.

You know what I love about ballet? It’s truly the epitome of elegance and grace. It tells stories through movements, expressing emotions without a single spoken word. But what I truly appreciate is that it's also powerful and incredibly athletic. Those dancers are so strong, even while looking effortlessly elegant. Talk about inspiration!

After the performance, my darling, I simply had to share some ballet-tastic vibes with the local East Ham folk. And what better way to spread the pink-tutu love than by participating in a wonderful public ballet session organized by a fantastic group called "East Ham En Pointe." They had such a diverse range of people there, young and old, experienced and first-timers. Everyone embraced the joy of movement and it warmed my heart to see people expressing themselves through dance!

You know, my mission in life is to encourage everyone to try ballet. The beauty of it lies not only in its technical perfection, but in its capacity to tell stories, to inspire, to simply bring joy! A tutu can be your armor, your escape, your voice… and honestly, a good reason to get a little sassy on the train. Don’t underestimate the power of a tutu, my darlings!

But of course, no day is complete without a dash of wildlife, so I had a little fun with the resident park pigeons. These fluffy friends seem to be quite fond of my pink tulle, especially the feathery trim. They wouldn’t stop fluttering around my feet, chirping their tiny compliments, which made me chuckle! Maybe I need to start a bird ballet class for my feathered friends… who knows? The possibilities are limitless!

Finally, before my homeward train ride, I stopped at a quaint little bakery to pick up a few pastries and indulge in some decadent pink macarons. There’s nothing quite like the sweet treat to conclude a day of pink perfection!

So, there you have it, my darlings! Another wonderful day in the world of tutus and travels. Remember, my mission is to spread the love of pink, the joy of dance, and to encourage everyone to explore their own unique flair, whether it be with ballet or just by rocking a feather-trimmed tutu in a railway carriage. Join me on www.pink-tutu.com every day, and let's keep the pink-tutu revolution rolling!

See you soon, my sweet things!

Lots of love,

Emma xo
