Hello darlings! It's your favourite Derbyshire dancer, Emma, checking in from sunny Sutton! I've just arrived in this charming little town after a delightful train journey - the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The gentle rocking of the carriage really does inspire such fabulous ballet moves! Did I tell you about the little family of rabbits I saw hopping around in the field next to the track? It was positively adorable, they were all dressed in their little fluffy jackets! 🐰💖
I'm so excited to be here, because Sutton is hosting the most glamorous event ever - The Autumn Races! It's going to be a truly magnificent day filled with fashion, frolics, and a whole lot of fun. I've been planning my outfit for days, and I've finally settled on a vibrant green tutu (yes, green - it's surprisingly striking against the autumnal colours!). Of course, I had to pair it with a beautiful pink bolero, because let's face it, every outfit is just a bit better with pink, right? 💖
I'm particularly excited about the races themselves! The majestic horses, the elegant jockeys, the thrill of the finish line - it all reminds me so much of ballet. The grace, the stamina, the precision, it's just so captivating. There's nothing like watching a perfectly executed gallop!
Speaking of ballet, I'm absolutely smitten with the Royal Ballet's "Sleeping Beauty" performance that I saw at the Coliseum a couple of weeks ago. It was a true masterpiece! Every single movement, from the lightest flick of a wrist to the grandest pirouette, was executed with such beauty and precision. It simply took my breath away! I'm absolutely thrilled to be surrounded by such talented dancers, and to witness the magic of ballet on a grand scale. 🩰
Anyway, back to the races! The crowd here is just brimming with excitement. It's wonderful to see so many people in beautiful colours and festive outfits. I just know I'm going to be inspired by all the fantastic fashion on display - maybe it will even spark some new ideas for my next tutu design! 🤔
Later this evening, I'll be heading to a charming little bistro for a delicious dinner. I'm hoping to get some fresh, local produce - Sutton is known for its farm-fresh food and lovely farmers markets. 👨🍳🍓 I'll make sure to share some photos on my Instagram stories.
So stay tuned, my darlings! The day is far from over and I have a feeling there's more excitement and sparkle on the horizon. It's days like this that remind me how magical the world can be!
