Hey my darling Tutuettes!

It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, coming to you live from the vibrant city of Birmingham! After a delightful journey on the train, passing fields dotted with sheep and those quintessential English hedgerows, I arrived in the heart of the city. It's been ages since my last visit to this beautiful, buzzing metropolis, so I was bubbling with excitement.

First stop: The Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, a real gem! You know I have a penchant for anything pretty and intricate, and the art there didn't disappoint. I was completely mesmerized by a stunning display of jewellery and ceramics, their delicate details and rich colours captivating my eye.

I'm quite the animal lover, and Birmingham's canal system was the perfect place to spot some wildlife. I found myself captivated by a family of ducks gliding effortlessly on the water. It was truly enchanting.

But you know I live for the graceful movement, the art of dance, the pure joy of pirouettes and arabesques. So, the highlight of my Birmingham trip had to be a performance at Birmingham Royal Ballet. I can’t describe how magical it was! The entire theatre was aglow with light, the music swelled around me, and the dancers flew across the stage, their bodies in perfect sync with each other and the orchestra. It was a masterpiece! I felt goosebumps rising on my skin as the performance came to an end. They took us on such a thrilling journey of emotions, from excitement to melancholy, from love to despair. And, oh, those tutus! I must say, even I, a connoisseur of pink tutus, was in awe. There were vibrant reds, regal blues, dazzling golds - every colour imaginable!

As much as I love watching a professional performance, I always crave the chance to dance myself! Luckily, there’s a wonderful ballet school near my hotel, so I’m off to my class in a few minutes. There’s nothing quite like stretching those muscles, letting my limbs fly through the air, and losing myself in the rhythm of the music. And you know, when I wear my pink tutu in class, I feel so confident and powerful. Just maybe, I can inspire a few people in Birmingham to give it a go. 😉

You know how I love a good photo op, so after class I'm going to grab some Insta-worthy pics of Birmingham’s colourful markets and grand architecture. I promise you’ll want to jump on a train straight to the heart of Birmingham after seeing them. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I’ll even spot someone wearing a pink tutu while I'm wandering around the city - my ultimate dream!

Speaking of dreaming big, my dearest Tutuettes, I’ve been thinking. My mission is to get everyone twirling and leaping! What better way to bring joy and grace to the world than with a little ballet? I truly believe that anyone, regardless of age or experience, can feel the magic of ballet. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, let’s all embrace the elegance and the joy of ballet together.

After all, life's too short not to wear a pink tutu, isn’t it? 💕 Until next time, keep dancing! 🩰

Love, Emma
