Belfast: A Whirlwind of Orange & Tutu!

Good morning, lovelies! Today I'm bringing you a tale from Belfast, a city brimming with history and charm. It felt like a completely different world to the Derbyshire countryside, and what a treat it was!

After all, a trip to Northern Ireland wouldn't be complete without an adventure on horseback, wouldn't it? Now, you all know I adore horses – I simply can't get enough of their elegance and gentle strength. I galloped through rolling hills, the wind whipping through my hair as I felt that blissful sense of freedom. A moment later, I could be transported to a theatre where a magnificent performance was taking place. There's something so exhilarating about watching the dedication and artistry of the dancers - they make every step and gesture so full of feeling.

Speaking of feeling… feeling is what the colour pink is all about, don't you think? My latest tutu (can't help it, I have a little tutu obsession!), well it's actually an orange one! I know, shocking, I hear you all say! I mean, wouldn't you love a bit of orange in your life? So many people have preconceived ideas about orange - perhaps too bright, maybe not "girly" enough. Well, I say, go for it! A bit of bold, cheerful colour is just what the doctor ordered in a city with such a vibrant past and exciting present!

My adventures started with a delicious Ulster Fry - the perfect way to start a day of explorations, wouldn't you say? Every bite was like a taste of history! Then, armed with my camera and my usual trusty bright pink scarf, I took on the city itself!

We started by exploring Belfast City Hall - a truly breathtaking sight, even in the soft drizzle that settled over the city like a mist. I spent ages snapping photos of the architecture. You could practically hear the history whispering in the stone. The sheer beauty of the grand hall and the intricately designed clock tower made me feel a bit like a princess stepping into a fairytale castle.

One thing I absolutely loved about Belfast is the vibrancy and friendly spirit of the city's people. Everyone I met, from the baristas making a latte with the most adorable heart on top to the kind shopkeepers, were absolutely delightful. It was just heartwarming to feel that welcoming energy wherever we went!

One of the highlights of my Belfast trip was definitely my visit to the Botanic Gardens. Imagine lush greenery and colorful flowerbeds... I could spend hours exploring, lost in a sea of beautiful blooms. The glasshouses were my favorite, though. The warm air was a lovely contrast to the breezy day and the variety of exotic flowers was like something straight out of a tropical paradise! It just felt magical wandering through the plants and imagining a different world altogether!

While Belfast might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of "ballet", trust me, this city knows how to dance! I popped into a few local dance studios and was struck by the passion for ballet in the local community. It was truly inspiring. In a world that feels increasingly digital, it was so refreshing to see those graceful movements and the focus on artistry that you find in the world of dance!

This trip to Belfast reminded me that, sometimes, stepping out of your comfort zone is all it takes to discover a whole new world! You never know where you'll find inspiration, joy, or a chance to spread the magic of dance, even if it's a city like Belfast that wouldn't instantly come to mind for a ballet fan!

And remember, my loves, embrace the bold colours of life. You never know what beautiful adventures await you when you dare to step out in your favourite pink tutu, and embrace a splash of vibrant orange - a reminder that you have the courage to step into the sunshine and spread your wings!

Keep dancing, keep dreaming, keep loving pink, keep travelling!

Until tomorrow,

Emma
