Hello darlings! It's Emma here, and today's post is all about Oxford - a city that truly stole my heart with its beautiful architecture, bustling atmosphere, and, of course, a charming array of foodie finds! I decided to ditch the car for this trip, hopping aboard a comfy first-class train from my Derbyshire abode. The gentle sway of the carriage always sparks my creativity and helps me write my posts!
Tutu of the Day: A fluffy confection! Today, I opted for a playful, bubblegum pink tutu paired with a white lace blouse. The soft, flowing fabric felt oh-so-divine with every twirl! I must confess, the whole "pink tutu on a train" experience got quite a few stares and smiles - which is just my kind of fun! 😉
A Ballet Love Affair: My mission for this trip was to visit the Oxford Playhouse, a delightful old theatre brimming with character. I must say, seeing a professional ballet performance is like indulging in pure magic. The precision of the dancers, the graceful leaps, and the heartfelt stories conveyed through movement left me mesmerized! I even spotted a charming, almost ethereal, little girl in the front row wearing a sparkly pink tutu of her own! My heart swelled! ✨
Foodie Finds and a Touch of Wild: After the ballet, I decided to treat myself to a spot of afternoon tea at the most exquisite little tearoom. I can't divulge its secrets (you'll have to find it yourself!), but let's just say it included delicate finger sandwiches, perfectly brewed tea, and a slice of raspberry cake that had me seeing pink! (Pink - just like my tutu!). And as if the day couldn't get any sweeter, I ended it with a stroll through the stunning Botanic Garden, marvelling at the graceful swan gliding on the pond. Did I mention my love for all things pink? It's truly the most magical color. 💕
