Chelmsford Calling! 🩰💖

#TutuBlog Post #1336

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your resident tutu enthusiast, and I'm just bursting to share the adventures of my latest trip! I’ve finally made it to Chelmsford! Can you believe it’s taken me this long? It feels like I’ve been planning this jaunt for ages, and let me tell you, it has been SO worth the wait!

You see, dear readers, I’m a huge fan of getting out and about – especially by train, or better still, on horseback, although that might have proved a tad tricky for this journey. But train journeys, you know, they are full of opportunity for a bit of people-watching and, of course, plenty of time to read a good book. I spent the entire trip dreaming of all the fabulous sights and, of course, all the potential ballet-themed fun Chelmsford could offer!

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’m absolutely mad about the colour pink – it just makes me feel so happy and carefree! So you can imagine how delighted I was when I packed a bright, cyan pink tutu for the occasion. Honestly, darling, it looked like I was being trailed by a cloud of loveliness, and even the pigeons seemed to be giving me an extra-wide berth – probably because they were completely overwhelmed by the sheer cuteness!

As I arrived at the station, I had a plan: ballet first, then food! (It’s all about the priorities, darling). Now, this might sound like an unusual combo to some, but believe me, it’s the ultimate way to have a day out in my book! First stop – the Chelmsford Ballet School!

It was such a thrill to wander down the bustling street, feeling the buzz of the city, and then walk through the big, imposing doors of the school. I just about choked with excitement. The space itself was just as you would imagine - full of light and warmth and, oh, the scent of floor polish!

I know, I know - it sounds rather cliché but I actually did breathe a deep breath and think "It's ballet heaven!". The teachers were so warm and welcoming and I even got to peek in at one of the classes – you know I love a spot of impromptu learning! Honestly, you could just feel the magic, it's a truly special environment and I can't wait to share my experience with you all, so stay tuned for more ballet-inspired musings.

Speaking of magic, after the ballet class I felt ready for a bite to eat. The sweet, pastel pink cupcake I was munching on in my perfectly pink tutu just about made me swoon! Honestly, darling, if this wasn’t the perfect embodiment of my inner "Tutu-Girl" I don't know what is!

Afterward, I couldn't resist heading to a local antique shop, and I came across a truly magical piece – a tiny silver ballerina figurine! It had this delicate, slightly vintage charm, just my cup of tea! Honestly, you just couldn't tell me that I didn’t find it! I simply had to bring her home and add her to my growing collection – my tiny ballet troop!

Before leaving Chelmsford, I couldn't not try the delicious local food scene. Let's just say, a generous portion of fluffy, rose-scented macarons were simply essential - you have to trust me, it is a must! And the creamy strawberry gelato - perfection. I'd describe the experience as “pretty in pink" - perfect, darling!

In all my journeys, Chelmsford has become one of my new favorite haunts, and, not to mention the gorgeous natural sights. There's something so enchanting about Essex!

I must say, darling, the town completely captured my heart and my fashion sense! I absolutely adored the relaxed and creative vibe, the amazing people I met - they just love their pink too, darling, which is a real plus, of course!

Chelmsford has given me some serious fashion inspiration! I can’t wait to see if I can create the perfect “Essex style" with some fun and fashionable pink outfits - let's just say you won’t catch me out of my tulle this summer, especially not after a trip to Essex!

And before I go, let's just remember this pink princess’ philosophy for all of you:

Why don't you embrace the magic of ballet, too? Why not slip on a pretty pink tutu (or whatever color tickles your fancy) and have a go! It's a great way to have fun, build your confidence and create your own happy dance story.
