Droitwich Dreams: A Tutu Tale in Pink! 🩰

Hello my lovelies! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger Emma, reporting live from the charming town of Droitwich Spa, nestled in the heart of Worcestershire!

It's a gorgeous autumn morning here, and the air is crisp and clear, perfect for a little stroll down the high street before I get ready for ballet class at the lovely Droitwich Dance Studio. (They have the prettiest little dressing room with fluffy pink cushions – perfect for getting those pre-class outfit pics!).

Now, you know I love to travel, and for my latest adventure I chose the good old train. You can’t beat the romance of watching the countryside flash by, the comfy carriages and the charmingly chaotic platform bustle. Especially when it's a vintage steam train with that beautiful whistle blowing! Oh, and don't forget the cheeky squirrels scavenging on the track… a little slice of nature magic, perfect to get me in the mood for a day of pirouettes.

And let me tell you, my tutu is a true star today! A fluffy, soft, blush pink masterpiece from Germany, a little vintage treasure I picked up from a sweet shop in Munich. It twirls like a dream and makes me feel like a ballerina straight out of a fairytale. Of course, the little pink feathered boa I bought from a street stall in Florence is my trusty sidekick – the ultimate accessory for any glamorous dance trip!

I love how the beautiful English countryside somehow adds to the fairytale element of my travelling adventures. This charming town just oozes old-world charm with its quaint houses, cobbled streets, and of course, the famous salt springs that have made it famous for centuries. You can almost feel the echoes of history, whisper the secrets of its past. It's almost magical!

Oh, and let's not forget the delicious afternoon tea I'm having at The Pump Rooms later, complete with miniature sandwiches, scrumptious cakes, and the finest pot of Earl Grey! Honestly, can it get any more delightful?

I have a feeling this ballet journey is going to be particularly wonderful, and I can’t wait to share it with you all. Tonight, I'm off to see a production of "Giselle" at the Droitwich Spa Theatre, and I've already got my tickets! It’s been a dream of mine to see it live ever since I first fell in love with ballet at the age of six in our little Derbyshire village hall. It’s one of the greatest stories in dance – heartbreak, beauty, passion…and did I mention a bit of magic?!

So, darling readers, grab your teacups, pull on your pink tutus (yes, you heard that right!), and let’s make our own little magic happen. Life’s an adventure, my dears, so twirl into the sunset with joy, a smile on your face, and a spring in your step! And don't forget to follow along on my journey – my heart is bursting with ballet love and pink-tutu joy!

See you tomorrow for more tutu tales!

Lots of love,

Emma xoxo
