Gateshead Calling! (Post 1591) 🩰💖

Hey everyone! It’s your girl Emma, and guess what? I’m in Gateshead! Now, I know what you're thinking… Gateshead? Is it all grey and rainy? 🌧️ Well, maybe a tad grey, but rainy? Never! Not when there's pink tutus and exciting ballet adventures waiting around every corner!

I arrived in style, of course. The train journey was fabulous. You can't beat a good train ride, can you? The wind whipping through the carriage window, the gentle chugging of the train... all the time with a comfy seat and the best view in the carriage (because everyone knows you sit on the right side for the best scenery). 🚄

Speaking of scenery, the Tyne River looked gorgeous with its silver-grey waters gleaming under the crisp autumn sky. And as we crossed the iconic Tyne Bridge, it felt like stepping into a storybook! It’s just breathtaking, this place! And they’ve got a fab little park I just had to wander around, spotting wildlife and watching the swans glide through the lake. It was absolutely magical! 🦢🌿

But don't worry, my love for all things pink never went on a holiday. My suitcase (I went old-school this time, because luggage is SO last year!), was a fabulous explosion of pink, from my cute fluffy suitcase cover to the floral-patterned, pink cotton dress that I slipped on as soon as we arrived! (And, naturally, it included my brand new crimson red tutu. It just seems appropriate for this time of year, don't you think? A little pop of fiery colour against the darker hues of autumn.)

You see, this isn’t just any old trip! I’m here to see a brand new production at The Sage Gateshead: “A Midsummer Night's Dream.” How fab is that?! I adore Shakespeare, and I love ballet so much, it's basically my religion. Imagine the costumes! The sets! The incredible story, brought to life in graceful movements… I'm already buzzing with anticipation. 🎭🤩

And the best part? I’ve already found the perfect spot to wear my red tutu and take some super-duper, super cute pics. It’s this amazing bridge – actually, a couple of them – with a park underneath, so you’ve got stunning river views, vibrant foliage, and me looking ridiculously cute in a red tutu, all in one picture! (I'm still editing those beauties but stay tuned to the ‘gram – I'm gonna make them gorgeous!).

You guys know me and my passion – “Wear Pink, Love Ballet.” I am so dedicated to sharing this passion with everyone, you have NO IDEA. My life mission is to make everyone feel the joy and magic of pink tutus and beautiful ballet movements. Why? Because it's good for the soul, darling! It's about self-expression, finding your grace, and having a little bit of fun, all at the same time! ✨

You might not find pink tutus at a regular store in Gateshead, (though I am doing my best to persuade every boutique I walk into), but there are SO many wonderful shops with the cutest trinkets and gifts – perfect for remembering this gorgeous city.

Speaking of memories, let me tell you, this city’s already got a special place in my heart! It’s a bit more industrial than my lovely Derbyshire countryside, but it’s still full of charm and creativity. You feel it in the air, that infectious sense of vibrancy. The North East never fails to deliver! 🥰

Stay tuned for more updates, gorgeous gals! I can't wait to share my experience of this production, with you!

Love,

Emma
