Hove, Here I Come! (Post #1609)

Hello darlings!

It's Emma here, your favourite pink-tutu-clad blogger, and I'm absolutely buzzing to be back on the blog, freshly caffeinated and ready to whisk you all off on a little adventure with me. Today, we're swapping the rolling Derbyshire hills for the seaside chic of Hove.

Now, if you've been following my journey for a while (and if you're reading this, I sincerely hope you have!), you know my absolute adoration for a good tutu. I've sported them everywhere from the cobbled streets of Paris to the serene lakes of the Swiss Alps (in a most glamorous fashion, of course!) and even on a horse ride across the Cotswolds (just imagine the tutu flowing in the breeze!).

But today, my lovelies, I'm taking the tutu to the beach! I'm wearing a particularly sassy black tutu this time (gotta shake things up every now and then!) and paired it with my trusty pink ballet pumps. You can bet I'm turning heads on the promenade.

I just arrived at my lovely B&B in Hove and I've already scoped out the local dance studios. There's one, in particular, I'm keen on trying. It's a bit quirky, called 'Ballet By The Beach', and they teach classes in all kinds of styles, even some fusion ballet that I'm absolutely dying to try! The website says they have an amazing view from the studio overlooking the sea, so it's going to be the ultimate relaxing, yet invigorating dance experience, don't you think?

The joys of travelling by train

I have to confess, I'm a bit of a train enthusiast. There's something utterly magical about looking out the window as the scenery whizzes by, the anticipation building with every click-clack of the wheels on the tracks. I love spotting the quaint little towns and villages we pass by, picturing the lives of the people living there, and daydreaming about all the hidden gems I might find if I hop off and explore.

My journey down from Derbyshire was particularly picturesque this time. The autumnal leaves had taken on such brilliant hues - crimson, amber, golden, every shade imaginable. They were painted across the fields like a grand autumnal tapestry, a true masterpiece of nature.

Finding joy in the unexpected

And then there was the moment on the platform when a small boy, perhaps 5 years old, was watching the trains come and go, mesmerised. He had the biggest smile on his face, you know, that pure joy you only see in kids when they're truly absorbed in something they love. It melted my heart, and it's a little moment I'll treasure.

The unexpected joys of travelling are just some of the things that make my little life adventures so special.

Let's talk wildlife!

Now, you guys know how much I love our feathered friends (well, all animals really!), and my journey was especially enriching thanks to a little encounter I had with a family of rabbits on my walk to the B&B. They were hopping around so nonchalantly, completely oblivious to me, that I nearly jumped out of my skin. For a few minutes, I just stood there, mesmerised, watching them go about their little rabbit business. It was such a simple yet beautiful encounter.

So, what am I doing this afternoon? Well, after a spot of lunch (of course, a spot of tea too, it's simply unthinkable!), I'm heading to the dance studio to try out my new favourite fusion ballet class. And this evening, I've booked myself into a cosy restaurant for some dinner and a little glass of wine to toast this wonderful new adventure.

Oh, and of course, you can bet I'll be taking lots of photos! Don't forget to check out my Instagram @emmaballetlife, for all the fun and twirling moments of this little trip.

But tell me, dear readers, what are you up to today? Have you been thinking about ballet, about donning a tutu, about hopping on a train, or maybe even planning a visit to Hove?

Leave your thoughts in the comments below, and don't forget to spread the pink tutu love! Until next time, darlings.

XOXO

Emma
