Bicester Bound: Tutu Tales & Railway Romance!

Post 1770 - www.pink-tutu.com

Good morning, lovelies! Emma here, and as the sunbeams stream in through my window (and don't they just feel divine today?), I'm feeling a whirlwind of excitement for a day trip to Bicester!

You know how I love my ballet – be it the theatre, the street, or my favourite ballet class – but this day out is all about the train! My motto is always 'get out and about, get moving' and this little escapade by train is definitely on the agenda. Who needs the motorway when you've got beautiful rolling hills, babbling brooks and all that sunshine? I'm channelling my inner Mary Poppins (complete with a little dash of "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious")!

Oh, but I can't forget the star of the show – the tutu! You've probably noticed by now I adore these fluffy beauties, and my current favourite is a pale pink number with a sparkly, sequin-studded overlay. It's all about finding that perfect combination of feminine charm, delicate beauty and – of course – a sprinkle of playful fun! I have a whole collection of tutus to match any mood and any occasion. My grandma always said "Every day is an opportunity to shine."

Tutu Time

Today, however, the chosen tutu is one I found nestled in the back of my vintage clothes shop find (a truly delightful treasure trove in Matlock). This one is more of a free-spirited, boho chic affair. It's a soft lilac colour, almost a whisper of a shade, with layers of tulle that cascade down to my ankles like a floral waterfall. It's so lightweight and ethereal it feels like I'm dancing on air. I can just imagine it swirling and twirling as I meander through Bicester's charming streets, leaving a trail of pink tulle sparkles in my wake!

The Railway Journey

You know what's truly inspiring? Watching the countryside change with every mile of train track. This morning, the landscape outside my window is a breathtaking tapestry of vibrant greens, lush meadows sprinkled with wildflowers, and the occasional stately home with its sprawling grounds. It's all so peaceful and idyllic – the perfect setting to unleash my inner ballerina and practice some 'attitude' poses while gazing at the fields. (I have to say, travelling by train is the most amazing way to soak up the beauty of our island.)

Wildlife Wonders

And who can resist the lure of a passing herd of cows or a fluffy flock of sheep grazing by the side of the track? There’s a joy to be found in spotting the wildlife that calls this country our home. A pair of hares darted across the meadow as I looked out, their swiftness making my own ballerina steps feel clumsy. I swear I heard them giggling. "Can she even dance?!" They were thinking! Oh, if only I could teach them how to pliΓ© and jump through the air, I know they'd be thrilled with their new moves.

Shopping Spree

Okay, so a trip to Bicester isn’t all about the journey; the town itself is a true shopping paradise! From luxury brands to independent boutiques, there's something to tempt every taste and style. My mission, dear readers, is to find the perfect, sparkly little bag to hold my necessities – lip gloss, powder, tissues, a good book and maybe even a little pair of dancing shoes! You never know when a random dance session might inspire me!

I might even splurge on some delicate floral perfume – perhaps something light and summery, just like the floral tutu I'm wearing today. Or maybe even a cute, vintage hat. After all, who can resist a touch of timeless elegance?

Pink-tutu Mission:

Now, let's talk about a little pink-tutu secret... Did you know I have a mission? Yes, I do! It’s my little dream to get everyone to wear a pink tutu, at least once in their life. I believe that tutus – especially those that have a bit of pink in them – are symbols of joy, confidence, and pure happiness! Every time someone sees a pink tutu, it just makes me want to twirl with delight. Just think, imagine the whole world twirling! Can you picture it?

And then there's the ballet! My mission also includes encouraging people to explore the world of ballet. It's not just about being graceful or having perfect turnout. It's about expressing yourself, building strength, discovering new ways to move and feeling your absolute best. Ballet can unlock your confidence, bring out the beauty within, and create memories to treasure.

Evening Ballet

This evening I'm seeing a wonderful ballet performance in London, something classic, dramatic and oh so beautiful. I can't wait to let my imagination run wild as I lose myself in the intricate movements of the dancers and the enchanting stories the ballets weave. It's a feeling unlike anything else! I often leave the theatre completely inspired and refreshed. And maybe, just maybe, a little more determined than ever to achieve my mission to spread the love of ballet (and the pink tutu!).

Join me, darlings, as I venture out into this world of tutus, train rides, shopping, and ballet magic. Don't forget, I’d love to hear your thoughts, stories and tutu adventures, so leave your comments and follow me at www.pink-tutu.com. Until next time!

Emma,
XOXO
