Broadstairs Ballet Bliss (Post #1806) 🩰💖

Hello lovelies! It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina, Emma, and I'm positively twirling with excitement because today's post is about the gorgeous coastal town of Broadstairs, where I spent a heavenly weekend filled with seaside air, pink delights, and a lot of ballet!

As some of you know, I have a thing for trains. They’re just so romantic and efficient. This journey was no exception - the journey from Derbyshire, past rolling green hills and fields of lavender, was a symphony of chugging engines and breathtaking countryside views. It really does get you in the mood for adventure!

Now, I must tell you all about my exquisite tutu - yes, another one, because you know I'm addicted! This one, a blush pink confection with swirls of tulle and sequins, is so fabulously Italian - and the perfect pick for a weekend spent strolling by the seaside. I knew it would be a great companion for the many pink delights in store for me.

The air in Broadstairs is just divine. The scent of salty air, mixed with the perfume of blooming flowers in gardens and window boxes, is like an intoxicating symphony of seaside happiness. It's the perfect atmosphere for some truly delightful ballet.

Now, I know what you're thinking – ballet on the beach? It seems crazy, but trust me, it was absolutely fabulous! I stumbled upon this incredible community event – a beach ballet performance organised by local dance studios. Watching graceful dancers pirouette against the backdrop of the vast, blue sea and golden sands was simply breathtaking. You know, sometimes life feels so magical!

Naturally, I had to have a little whirl myself! And let me tell you, with the gentle sea breeze and soft sand beneath my tutu, every step was pure bliss. It was the perfect introduction to this charming seaside town, and I knew immediately that Broadstairs would be my new go-to seaside destination!

We can’t talk about Broadstairs without mentioning its beautiful Victorian architecture, with brightly coloured houses lining the cobblestone streets, adorned with pink roses (and I definitely spotted some pastel-coloured candy floss! - of course! What else would I find! And the best thing? It tastes exactly as it looks!! 💖).

Naturally, the ballet obsession continued. After my beach experience, I found the most charming local dance studio, all pink-walled and airy with beautiful murals. I decided to join their beginner’s class - a fabulous opportunity to practise my pirouettes and chaines, surrounded by friendly, local dancers. (Maybe even pick up a new ballet move or two!) You know I love sharing my ballet adventures, and even more than sharing my excitement about my beautiful tutus - I'm genuinely so happy I get to introduce ballet to all you lovely followers!

My weekend wasn’t complete without some delightful seaside discoveries. The harbour was teeming with colourful fishing boats bobbing on the gentle waves. I couldn’t help myself, I bought some beautifully crafted seashell necklaces as souvenirs. And of course, a delicious fish and chips dinner, served by the kindest, chattiest man with the bluest eyes – true seaside charm!

Before heading back to Derbyshire, I stopped for a picnic lunch by the seafront, surrounded by stunning views of the coast. It was a delicious blend of freshly baked croissants, succulent fruit, and a pink cupcake (because pink is my favourite!). I had my favourite tutu with me and my feet barely touched the ground with all the prancing around. It was the perfect ending to a wonderfully ballet-filled weekend in Broadstairs.

The best part of travelling is all about discovering the beauty in every place, and Broadstairs absolutely stole my heart. I'm definitely going to add this town to my ballet-inspired travel bucket list. With its vibrant energy, stunning seaside charm, and wonderful dance studios, it's a place that truly dances with delight.

Don't forget, everyone, it's my ultimate mission to inspire you all to twirl and twirl and dance with your heart. Whether it's a pirouette on the beach or a ballet class in your local studio, I want you to embrace the joy and magic of movement.

So, let’s make this week all about twirls and giggles! Pick up your tutus, wear those vibrant pink colours and let your inner ballerina shine! Don’t forget to tag me on Instagram so I can share your photos, and remember, my dears, every day is a day to celebrate life and dance with joy! 🩰 💖

See you next time, lovelies! Love Emma.
