Watford Calling! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐ŸŒธ

Hello my gorgeous darlings! ๐Ÿ’–

It's Emma here, your resident tutu-wearing, ballet-loving, pink-obsessed blogger, writing to you from sunny Watford! โ˜€๏ธ

This weekend was all about a trip to Watford, a town I'd never been to before. And, wouldn't you know it, I arrived in style, travelling by train in a fetching floral print dress, a charming straw hat and, of course, a pink tutu that matched the floral print perfectly! I can't help myself, a little pink goes a long way in brightening up even the dreariest train carriage!

The journey itself was lovely. It felt like a mini adventure, watching the scenery fly by as we sped along, feeling the gentle breeze through my hair (I just love the fresh air on my face when travelling by train!), and picturing the delightful adventures that awaited me in Watford.

But enough about the journey! Let's talk about the reason for my trip: Food! Yes, my lovelies, you read that right - food. You see, this weekend I had the pleasure of attending a special foodie event, a celebration of all things delicious and delectable. There was so much to sample: homemade cakes, savoury treats, artisanal cheeses, and even a selection of international delicacies!

It felt a little bit like Alice in Wonderland, with an array of colours, scents and tastes vying for my attention. My favourite part was the homemade cakes. They were a real delight for my tastebuds! I couldn't resist trying a pink Victoria sponge, complete with a light and fluffy texture, just like a perfect ballet dress!

Speaking of ballet, my mission was to spread the joy of ballet, one pink tutu at a time! And, wouldn't you know it, I met a few ladies at the food festival who were curious about ballet and intrigued by my pink tutu.

"How on earth do you manage to fit a tutu into your luggage?!" asked one lady, with a mixture of surprise and admiration.

"It's a matter of strategic packing," I told her with a twinkle in my eye. "Plus, I'm a professional, darlings! You have to travel in style, you know."

"I think I might need a tutu in my life," said another lady, as I admired her delicious looking pastry. "Do you think there's a way I can convince my friends to wear one with me to the local park?"

"Absolutely!" I said with a beaming smile. "Let's spread the tutu love, ladies! And, you know, if you're really serious, why not even join a beginner's ballet class together?"

It felt wonderful sharing my love for ballet with these ladies and seeing their interest and excitement. It really goes to show that everyone can embrace the joy of ballet, no matter their age or background. And who knows, maybe this conversation will be the start of something beautiful. Just imagine the whole park full of ladies in pink tutus, dancing the afternoon away. Now that's a sight to behold!

But the weekend wasn't all food and ballet. After the food festival, I wandered around Watford, exploring the charming streets and admiring the architecture. The place reminded me a lot of Derbyshire, actually, especially in its sense of history and community.

I was fortunate to encounter a delightful little wildlife garden in the town centre, a hidden gem full of lovely wildflowers and buzzing with bees and butterflies. I'm a bit of a nature lover, you know, I enjoy the peaceful serenity of a quiet garden filled with buzzing life, and the peaceful calmness that surrounds you as the nature world goes about its business.

On the train journey home, my head was filled with new ideas and plans. I felt so inspired! You know, maybe my next blog post will be about designing my own food-themed tutu. Maybe a chocolate-covered cherry red, a strawberry pink, or maybe a black cherry and strawberry ombre design?! The possibilities are endless, and I can't wait to get creative!

Stay tuned, my lovely darlings, and Iโ€™ll let you know how it goes.

Until next time,

Keep twirling!
