Eltham Calling! Tutu Adventures in a Purple Paradise (Post #1949)

Hello, my dearest tutu-loving lovelies! Emma here, fresh off the train and already buzzing with excitement! You know what I love more than a perfectly-pink tutu? Discovering new places! And today, my adventure takes me to Eltham, a town steeped in history, bursting with charm and waiting to be explored.

Remember that gorgeous, velvety purple tutu I found at a vintage shop last month? Well, it was calling out to be worn for this trip! I'm absolutely convinced that the colour purple adds a touch of regality and elegance to any outfit, but especially when paired with the twirl-worthy delight of a tutu. Let's face it, it's simply magical!

Today, the journey to Eltham was nothing short of magical. The train journey was blissful. Sunshine pouring through the windows, the rhythmic clatter of the train wheels, and my little head bobbing to some Debussy while gazing out at the scenery. You know, sometimes, just soaking up the simple joys like that fills me with such contentment. I think it's the ballet dancer in me that loves that rhythmic flow - a feeling similar to what I get when dancing!

Anyway, as soon as I arrived, I felt an irresistible pull towards Eltham Palace. What an absolute fairytale! It's the epitome of that romantic grandeur I find so captivating. Imagine – moated gardens, majestic towers, Tudor brickwork, and even a royal palace within its walls! Honestly, I could have spent the entire day exploring, imagining myself as a graceful ballerina swirling through those historical hallways.

But speaking of swirling… It's not all historical wonders and royal residences today. The Eltham Palace has this fantastic "Victorian Garden" – you know I'm all for embracing the Victoriana! Imagine rolling lawns, vibrant blooms, and a riot of colour – all begging for a whimsical tutu-clad waltz. So, naturally, I obeyed! There I was, spinning, pirouetting, and enjoying the gentle breeze as I basked in the glorious sunshine and vibrant scenery.

The birdsong added a soundtrack to my impromptu ballet performance – you can’t tell me the sparrows aren't impressed with my purple tulle twirling!

Now, you know how much I adore animals. After all, who could resist those cute furry faces and adorable antics? Well, my little adventurers, guess what I saw at Eltham Palace? A charming pair of black swans! Talk about majestic! They had this graceful elegance that even I envy! You can bet I grabbed my phone and snapped a couple of photos. They would look divine with my new #PinkTutuLondon hashtag on my Instagram, wouldn't they?

Speaking of hashtags, my friends! We need to get #PinkTutuDay trending. Imagine a whole world embracing the pink tutu! Pink for optimism, pink for fun, pink for confidence… and all the while, a beautiful tutu encapsulates it all!

The day in Eltham ended on a high, with a delicious picnic in the garden. Cheese, bread, juicy strawberries… Nothing says "delightful afternoon" like a perfectly-pink tutu and a simple picnic amongst nature. I swear, even the bees seemed to appreciate the elegance!

I don't know about you, my lovelies, but I can't think of a better way to spend a day! You know what they say - “Life is too short for dull outfits!” And in Eltham, I've discovered that the magic isn't limited to castles and gardens, it’s everywhere! So remember, dear readers, never forget your tutu – pink, purple, or any colour that sparks joy in your heart. You never know where it might lead you! Until next time, stay stylish, stay magical, and keep on twirling!

Emma signing off…
