Sutton in Ashfield: A Tutu-tastic Trip! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฉฐ

Hello my darlings! It's Emma here, your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballet enthusiast, bringing you post number 1951 from the lovely little town of Sutton in Ashfield! It feels so good to be back on the road, and today's journey took me through the heart of Derbyshire, a place I know and love so dearly.

Now, if you've been following me for a while, you know I'm a huge fan of travel. But let me tell you, there's nothing quite like a train journey through the English countryside! There's something magical about watching the green fields blur by, watching cows grazing in meadows, and all the charming little villages we pass through. It really helps set the mood for adventure, and this time, it was definitely an adventure in pink!

I packed my beautiful cyan tutu - you all know how much I love colour! - and my trusty ballet shoes in my favourite little pink suitcase (everything in my life must be pink, of course!). It's like wearing your heart on your sleeve, only my heart is a delicate, frilly, tutu-clad heart! ๐Ÿ’–

My goal was Sutton in Ashfield - not for the ballet (though they have a wonderful local theatre, I hear) but to visit the delightful wildlife sanctuary at the heart of the town! Did you know it houses one of the largest collections of birds of prey in the whole of the UK? I love all animals, but those graceful raptors, swooping through the sky, hold a special place in my heart.

After a leisurely lunch at a charming cafe that served the best pink iced cake ever (obviously!), I was ready to meet the magnificent birds! From soaring eagles to majestic owls, each one held my fascination and filled me with awe. There's a certain magic about connecting with creatures that have evolved over centuries to rule the skies, and seeing them in such a safe haven was an absolute delight. I even got to have a photo with one of the owls - it's so incredibly fluffy! It reminded me of a sweet, little cloud - definitely one for my Instagram. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My adventure at the sanctuary was a testament to the wonderful things you can discover when you explore, especially those lesser-known corners of our wonderful island. And that, my lovelies, brings us to my daily mantra: life is an adventure, and every day is an opportunity to embrace the beauty around us. And yes, sometimes that means wearing a tutu, but who doesn't love a bit of colour and joy in their life? ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฉฐ

So, on that note, I challenge you all to have your own mini-adventure this week! Go on, wear that brightly-coloured dress, explore your local park, or even just do something a little bit out of the ordinary! Life's too short to blend in, don't you think?

And of course, while you're at it, don't forget to share your experiences on my blog at www.pink-tutu.com - I love seeing what you lovelies are up to!

Until tomorrow,

Emma x
