Wigston Magna Whirlwind: Tutu Travels, Post #2016

Oh, hello there, lovely people! Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger, checking in from the charming town of Wigston Magna! Yes, you read that right - this little Derbyshire girl has been whisked away to the East Midlands, all for a good dose of ballet, of course.

Tutu Tales: A Pink Parade in Leicestershire

It’s all about the tutus today! I felt absolutely glorious in my latest acquisition: a fluffy, pink tutu, so bouncy and full of life that I practically took off at the bus stop. Can you imagine my joy when I found myself walking past the quaint little houses and shops, practically swirling and twirling, with the wind in my hair?

We all know I'm a sucker for a train journey - and luckily, Wigston Magna boasts a station, and what better way to get the day started than with a trip on the local railway. The journey itself was magical, and it felt like something out of a fairytale! Every passing field seemed to dance with daffodils, and the gentle rocking of the carriage lulled me into a dreamy state.

Dancing Through History

Speaking of history, the heart of Wigston Magna brims with it. As I ambled through the streets, I couldn’t help but feel a connection to the past. Every cobblestone felt like a stage for an untold story, and the quaint buildings whispered secrets of days gone by. Imagine a ballerina performing here back in the day! This historic town with its impressive heritage and its dedication to the arts was just perfect.

And the best part? I managed to get my hands on a beautiful pink rose - my new lucky charm for my dance recital tomorrow! I am already daydreaming about the graceful moves I'll execute and the sheer joy of connecting with other ballet lovers at the performance. The thought alone has me skipping and pirouetting down the cobbled streets!

Adventures in Animalia

This charming little town isn't just about beautiful buildings and ballets. The Wigston Magna Country Park had me practically leaping with joy! I spent the afternoon enjoying the gentle rustling of leaves, chirping of birds, and a magical encounter with a family of deer, a true highlight of my day. Every graceful stride, every shy glance – pure, natural beauty that mirrored the graceful movements I'm known for.

I’m a firm believer in bringing a little bit of elegance into every part of life, and even a stroll through the park felt like a waltz, my tulle skirt fluttering behind me. Nature and ballet – it’s a match made in heaven!

A Day For Ballet Dreams

Tomorrow’s performance promises to be truly special, and I’m already buzzing with excitement! I can't wait to see other dedicated dancers who have embraced the love of movement. Who knows, maybe someone will be inspired to buy a fluffy, pink tutu, just like mine?

I know, I know, this may seem silly to some. But wearing a tutu is about more than just fashion; it's a way to celebrate joy, expression, and embracing who you are, in every ounce of your pink, sparkly self! After all, life is far too short to take it all too seriously. We need to twirl and dance, no matter what anyone says!

*My pink tutu challenge: * Do you fancy yourself as a dancer, my lovely readers? If not, do try some ballet movements at home. Try a plie or a little twirl in your living room! Embrace the elegance and joy of movement. Let's spread the pink tutu love!

Tune in tomorrow for more tutu travels from Wigston Magna - until then, happy dancing!

Lots of love,

Emma
