Longbridge Calling: Pink Tutu on the Rails! 🩰💖

Hello, lovelies! 💖 It's your girl Emma, back from another adventure! This time, I took a train ride to Longbridge, a delightful little town nestled in the English countryside, and oh my, did I have a time! 🚂

As usual, my trusty pink tutu went with me – a sparkly number I picked up in a vintage shop in Nottingham last week. I swear, a tutu always brightens up even the dullest of train journeys! ✨

I love travelling by train, don’t you? The rhythmic click-clack of the wheels on the track is so soothing. Plus, it’s such a great chance to people-watch. And let me tell you, I saw some amazing hats in Longbridge station! I mean, who wouldn't love a velvet cloche adorned with a jaunty pheasant feather? 😉

But onto the reason for my visit! Longbridge is famous for its stunning cathedral, the crown jewel of the town, they say. The moment I saw it, it took my breath away! Imagine, darling, the sheer grandeur of its spires piercing the sky, its ancient stone whispering tales of bygone times, the stained-glass windows a symphony of colour. You can practically smell the incense from here!

Inside, there’s a beautiful cloister that I simply couldn’t resist exploring. It was quiet and peaceful, with dappled sunlight filtering through the trees, and the most magnificent fountain I’d ever seen, swirling and shimmering like a dancer in a pink tutu! (Maybe a little dramatic, but hey, a girl’s gotta dream!) 😉

After the cathedral, it was time for lunch, and let me tell you, I’m a sucker for a proper afternoon tea! This quaint café with charming floral wallpaper had the most amazing scones and jam you’ve ever tasted! Plus, they had a lovely little shop selling hand-made pottery. It was full of beautiful, colourful things, perfect for showcasing a lovely collection of tutus! 💖

Before I left, I decided to treat myself to a little jaunt to the local horse stables. Oh my gosh, I'm a complete sucker for those noble beasts. Their coats were the most incredible shades of brown and chestnut, glistening in the afternoon sun. I couldn’t help but sneak a few pats on their soft, velvety noses. My own horses back home were so jealous, they tried to escape their stables when I told them about it! 🐎

But my journey didn't end there, my darlings! The evening brought me face to face with the incredible “Birds of Prey” show at the local park. Watching falcons, owls, and eagles soar through the air in graceful pirouettes – it was like watching a ballet in the sky! ✨ It really made me appreciate how the beauty and grace of nature parallels that of ballet.

And the best part? I found this lovely vintage shop overflowing with all kinds of fabulous finery. It was a true Aladdin’s Cave! After I unearthed that perfect pink tulle for my next tutu project (let’s just say I’m dreaming up something truly magnificent – think feather boas, diamantes, and enough sparkle to rival a disco ball!), the shop owner was kind enough to lend me a gorgeous straw boater with a feather. Now, wasn’t that sweet? 💖

I boarded the train home feeling utterly exhilarated and completely in love with this little gem of a town. Longbridge, you’ve stolen a piece of my heart. And don’t worry, my pink tutu will be making its way back there, I can already feel it!

And now, lovelies, tell me all about your adventures this week! Did you try on a pink tutu? Did you go for a delightful horse ride? Did you go for a cheeky jaunt through the English countryside? Did you attend a dazzling ballet performance? Don’t keep me in suspense! Let's discuss everything below! ✨💖

Love and sparkles,

Emma 💋
