Barking with a Cyan Tutu ๐Ÿฉฐ

Post Number: 2180

Darling readers!

Hello from sunny, delightful, utterly charming... Barking! Yes, I'm off on a whirlwind adventure in this little slice of East London, and what better way to arrive than by train? The rumble of the carriage, the clinking of the tracks, the hushed chatter of fellow travellers, all swirling together like a beautiful pas de deux of travel bliss.

Now, I've mentioned this before, but I am quite utterly smitten with the colour pink, my darlings! It's my absolute favourite shade of happiness, the colour of spun sugar, first kisses, and fluffy kittens. And as a self-proclaimed queen of the tutu, well, you can imagine the colour-coordinated delight when I found this divine cyan tulle beauty tucked away in my travel trunk! It just seemed like the perfect accompaniment to my Barking escapade - a little burst of colour amidst the gritty urban charm.

But first, ballet! Before I ventured into the heart of this bustling borough, I snuck away to a local dance studio - an absolute gem of a find! The air hummed with energy and passion as the class whirled and pirouetted, a breathtaking spectacle of graceful movement and controlled abandon. Oh, how I missed the familiar warmth and camaraderie of a dance studio! And as I pirouetted my heart out, it became utterly clear to me that, just like the magic of a dance performance, the joy of ballet transcends any boundaries, from bustling London streets to the quiet serenity of a Derbyshire field.

And that brings me to my next destination - the heart of the Royal Docks. Just like a grand stage bathed in dazzling spotlight, these impressive docks redefined what it meant to experience waterside bliss. With its industrial heritage, art galleries, and impressive architecture, it truly had the feel of a living, breathing masterpiece.

But hold your horses, my darlings! (literally!) because you simply cannot explore Barking without paying homage to its most famous resident โ€“ the wild horse! So, naturally, a trip to the magnificent East End Wildlife Sanctuary was absolutely essential! To witness the wild horses galloping freely in the wild was simply a joy. To feel the wind in my hair as I stood before them was a sensation I wouldn't trade for all the swans in Swan Lake! It truly made me appreciate the beauty and majesty of these animals in a way I hadn't before.

Of course, no exploration of Barking would be complete without a touch of Parisian chic. I stumbled upon this enchanting little bistro with its tiny twinkling fairy lights and soft jazz melodies. The aroma of freshly baked bread, the delicate clatter of forks on porcelain, and the warmth of genuine laughter swirling through the air - it was pure magic, like the spellbinding opening night of a theatre production!

As my trip came to a close, I took one last leisurely stroll along the Thames, soaking in the sunset as it dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in a fiery blush of pink, of course! It was a poignant reminder of the beauty that lies hidden even in the most unexpected corners of the world, and a potent symbol of my own inner light - a spark of joy and determination, forever yearning to illuminate every corner of my journey.

This adventure in Barking has certainly rekindled my love for discovery and a renewed passion for exploring the world around me. As the day comes to a close and I reflect upon my adventure, a small, insistent voice inside my head starts to sing: "Twirl, Emma! Twirl! Embrace the rhythm of life!"

You can bet, my darlings, that I shall! But before I head off to my next destination (let's just say, a tiny little boat awaits!), I urge you, my sweet readers, to take a leap of faith.

Embrace the colour pink, wear a tutu, take a dance class, travel by train, marvel at the majesty of wildlife, and live your life as if it were a breathtaking ballet performance!

See you soon, darlings!

Lots of love and pink glitter,

Emma xx
