This is post number 2183, can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday I was a little girl in Derbyshire dreaming of pirouettes and perfect pointe shoes, but now I'm off gallivanting around the country (and sometimes the world!), sharing my love of all things tutu-licious with you lovely lot! 💖
Today's adventure took me to the charming town of Ruislip, and what an adventure it was! You know how much I love taking the train – there's something so romantic about hurtling through the countryside, feeling the wind in my hair (okay, maybe not with my hair in a neat ballerina bun!). But that doesn't mean I don't embrace the wind-in-your-hair feeling! I had the most fantastic time spotting adorable wildlife through the window – I think I saw a deer! 🦌 How charming.
Anyway, I was heading to Ruislip to watch a ballet performance at the rather delightful Ruislip Manor. It's one of those delightful village halls, you know? Small, intimate, but oh so full of character. It reminds me of the kind of venue where you could imagine having a grand ballroom scene straight out of a Jane Austen novel! 😍
The ballet performance was wonderful – a real mix of classic and contemporary pieces. There's nothing like seeing graceful bodies moving to beautiful music, is there? It's always such a joy to watch professional dancers, seeing them work their magic. They're not just athletes, they're artists! 🎨
And you know what, darlings? The ballet inspired me! I have to dance! I'm definitely popping into a ballet class later today. It's just the boost I needed after my busy week – I feel like my tutu is calling me! 💖🩰
By the way, did I mention I wore my brand new sunshine-yellow tutu to Ruislip? It's such a bright and vibrant colour – just perfect for a summer's day. It feels so energetic and full of life, don't you think? 🤩
Oh, and if you haven't already, you must visit Ruislip Manor. The grounds are beautiful – so much greenery and wildlife, it feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The perfect place for a peaceful stroll or a picnic in the sun. ☀️
Speaking of peaceful strolls, I'm going to have one myself now – maybe with a spot of wildlife spotting, or perhaps a picnic by the lake at Ruislip Manor. But before I go, remember my mission, darlings: to get everyone to wear a pink tutu and everyone to try ballet! 💪💖
