Crosby Calling! - TutuBlog #2196

Hello lovelies! It's your girl Emma, back with another entry from TutuBlog - posting every day, remember! Today's all about Crosby - a little slice of seaside heaven, tucked away on the Lancashire coast. It was a spur-of-the-moment trip, sparked by a beautiful vintage feather tutu that I spotted in a dusty little antique shop back in Derby. I couldn’t resist, and when you’ve got a gorgeous feathered tutu begging to be twirled, well, you know the drill, you've gotta twirl it!

The journey to Crosby was just the best - all the way from Derby in a carriage, yes, a carriage! Pulled by two magnificent Clydesdale horses, of course - nothing beats the breeze in your hair and the clatter of hooves on cobblestones, I promise you. Those beautiful horses, all gleaming chestnut and muscle, gave me the biggest smiles all the way!

Speaking of smiles, Crosby didn't disappoint. The moment I set foot on the sandy shores, I was completely charmed by the seaside air, the salt on my lips, the cries of the seagulls... pure bliss! The quaint little houses lining the coast with their vibrant pastel shades just added to the dreamy feel, like stepping into a seaside postcard.

Now, I've got to tell you about my favourite find - The Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre! A treasure trove of excitement right on the waterfront. The best bit? They had these amazing bird-watching tours - I spent the afternoon with my nose glued to a pair of binoculars, watching majestic ospreys soaring high above the waves and adorable little sandpipers prancing around the sandy shores. It was like watching a natural ballet in full bloom! The sea air felt so refreshing after that; I can’t remember when I last had such a good time getting so close to nature!

But it's not just about the birds! They had all sorts of activities - canoe rides through the saltmarsh (I even had a go, all while wearing my feather tutu - a sight to behold, if I do say so myself!), paddleboarding with sea views, and even a nature walk through the dunes to see the delicate wild orchids that grow there. The adventure centre has something for everyone - it's a perfect place for a bit of nature-inspired fun.

You'd think with all the natural wonders I was gawking at, I’d have forgotten my mission - that is, to inspire the world to dance and wear a pink tutu, right? Well, I wouldn't let the adventure spirit fade just yet. It's always in my nature to find some form of dance, no matter where I go. So after my wild day out, I just HAD to go for a wander down Crosby's seafront - all along the beautiful, expansive promenade that seemed to go on for ages.

The sunset was just breathtaking, painting the sky in fiery oranges and pinks, a vibrant display to rival the best of my pink tutus! It made me feel so alive - and inspired. I found a quiet little nook by the pier and let myself loose. The waves lapped at my feet as I twirled and pirouetted, imagining myself a dancing mermaid - a moment of pure joy!

Believe me, a little dancing never hurt anybody, and sometimes all it takes to make someone’s day is to see a happy, twirling pink tutu dancing along the beach. It doesn’t have to be fancy or perfect – all you need is a dash of joy, a whole lotta pink, and maybe just a sprinkle of feathers!

The magic of dancing isn’t about perfection or performance, it’s about letting your soul shine. My dream is for everyone to experience the same feeling, and if they do it wearing pink and a feather tutu? Well, that’s even better! I think Crosby might just be the start of a very beautiful, pink dance adventure!

Join me next time for my travels in the most fabulous and fashionable pink tutu yet!

Until next time, Love Emma www.pink-tutu.com
