Fareham Fancy: Tutu-ing Through the South Coast! ๐Ÿฉฐ ๐Ÿ’–

Hey darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-wearing gal, Emma, and I'm thrilled to be back with another post - number 2227, can you believe it?! Time really does fly when you're twirling!

Today, I'm taking you on a little adventure with me down to Fareham, a lovely town on the south coast of England. Yes, I said south coast! You've probably gathered by now that this girl doesn't do things by halves, and after spending the last few weeks hoofing it across the Peak District in my trusty Doc Martens (don't worry, my tutu travelled safely in a special tote!), I decided a change of scenery was in order.

My journey, of course, was not by car. Oh no, this little ballerina prefers to travel in style. I booked myself a First Class carriage on the train - all those fluffy armchairs are much more comfortable for a girl in a tutu!

The Great Fareham Fling

Upon arriving in Fareham, I was instantly struck by the seaside vibes. You could practically smell the salty air! I found a little boutique hotel nestled near the harbour, which had the cutest pink and white floral wallpaper in my room. I immediately unpacked my trusty suitcase โ€“ the one I swear could fit an entire wardrobe, including all my precious tutu collection โ€“ and threw on a summery floral sundress. My bright pink, sparkly, sequined tutu, with its generous layers of tulle, wouldn't be out of place in a Parisian ballet studio, let alone a charming seaside town.

The afternoon sun was shining gloriously, so I set out to explore Fareham's charming streets. My first stop was the historic Fareham Market. The colours and aromas were just delightful! I couldnโ€™t resist buying some fresh, plump strawberries to enjoy later.

Finding my Inner Swan (and an Oyster!)

The thing is, I can't go anywhere without a little bit of ballet, right? Well, guess what? Fareham's got it all. The town centre has this beautiful, old, historic theatre, and wouldn't you know it, they have a lovely ballet class on offer! After a delightful afternoon exploring, I got my tutu on (don't even get me started on the fabulous, twirly potential of a sparkly, sequined tutu!), and I joined the local ballet group. These lovely ladies, most with elegant silver streaks in their hair, were full of smiles and such great technique โ€“ the class was inspiring! They were like elegant swans in their white tutus - the best kind of inspiration, of course, was to bring out the pink for my class!

Afterwards, with my legs feeling deliciously tired and my soul soaring from the perfect afternoon ballet session, we were treated to oysters, wine, and the most beautiful sunset. It doesn't get more British, or more perfectly delightful!

A Touch of Tutu Magic

You know I couldnโ€™t go all this way without spreading some tutu magic. As I wandered the harbour front, enjoying a scoop of delicious raspberry ripple ice cream (with my pink tutu, of course!), I couldn't resist. I put on my most dazzling smile and showed my lovely bright pink tutu to a little girl in a charming navy blue dress, and she gasped with delight! Her mum couldn't stop laughing, and within minutes, they were both talking to me about my trip and even getting their photo taken with my tutu! That little moment was so incredibly rewarding, because even the tiniest bit of tutu magic can spread like sunshine!

The Call of the Wild

You know how much I love the wild life, so before I could get back to Derbyshire, I had to squeeze in a visit to the beautiful New Forest. This glorious expanse of ancient woodland with wild ponies and deer is just magical! It made me feel completely connected to nature and to my inner animal spirit. You can't escape a little tutuing even in the heart of the forest! The squirrels seemed quite impressed, anyway.

So, Fareham! You've truly stolen my heart! With your beautiful sea views, charming historic streets, friendly people, and an amazing dose of ballet culture, you are absolutely on my top travel list. The train trip back was a little tiring, but I enjoyed every minute of my time in this fabulous corner of the south coast.

Until next time, darlings! Keep dancing, stay pink, and always, always twirl with confidence!
