Llanelli Calling: Pink Tutu and a German Adventure! 💖🩰

Hello my dearest Tutu-licious readers! It's Emma here, your resident Pink Tutu enthusiast, and today's blog is post number 2252, ready to whisk you away to the wonderful Welsh town of Llanelli!

The journey itself was a total dream. I swapped the usual car for a charming little train, something about the clickety-clack and the countryside whizzing by always puts me in such a happy mood! 🎶 Feeling like a little pink ballerina with my favourite fluffy tutu packed securely in my luggage, I even got a wave from a family of adorable sheep – how very Welsh! 😉

Llanelli is, let’s just say, a revelation! This isn't my first trip to Wales, mind you, but this little town has won a place in my heart! It's buzzing with life, a vibrant mix of bustling markets, charming little shops and a sense of community that warms the cockles. Oh, and they have the most beautiful little antique shop I ever did see, crammed full of gorgeous vintage treasures. Imagine my delight when I discovered a stunning pink satin tutu tucked away amongst the old lace and porcelain dolls – it practically whispered my name! 🎀 It's definitely getting a starring role in my upcoming ballet photoshoot in the countryside – keep an eye out for that on Instagram!

But my trip wouldn't be complete without ballet, now would it? I practically pirouetted into the Llanelli Town Hall, which plays host to their stunning theatre. As a ballet aficionado, I couldn't miss the opportunity to see the Royal Welsh Ballet perform "Swan Lake" (a classic for a reason, ladies!) - talk about grace, elegance and storytelling! The dancers were absolutely divine, each pirouette a vision, each arabesque an embodiment of ethereal beauty. 🦢 The way their bodies flowed, a whirlwind of pink tutus and exquisite costumes… Honestly, I’m still feeling the magic. 💖

However, I’ve also got a secret to tell you: the reason I was even in Llanelli… A special guest star appearance from a ballet star in the making… Me! 😁

Yes, I bravely ventured to a ballet class at the Dance Academy of Llanelli. Honestly, I felt like I was back in my Derbyshire ballet class days. So much fun and energy. Now, here's a little something I learned… you ever tried ballet on pointe with a German tutu? Well, let me tell you, it’s an experience! (It’s a long story, involves a bit of a language barrier, a misunderstanding about measurements, and the unexpected joy of a brightly coloured, fluorescent pink tutu… but it will all be on the next blog post! 😉)

In the meantime, let's just say that German ballet wear definitely adds a whole new layer of “extra” to my dancing, not to mention that extra spring in my step. 😂 It was a hoot, a delightful cultural exchange and a lesson in embracing the unexpected!

As I continue to explore Llanelli, I'm discovering all sorts of amazing things – quirky art galleries, delicious independent cafes (oh, you wouldn’t believe the pink lemonade!) and even stumbled across a gorgeous horse riding centre. Now, it wouldn’t be a pink-tutu.com blog post if there wasn’t a horse riding scene, would it? So, keep your eyes peeled for my next blog, I have plans to become one with the Welsh countryside on a beautiful steed, my tutu flapping in the wind! 🐴 Can you picture it? A real fairytale come true!

But here’s the thing about my adventures, they are just a glimpse into what life is really all about! It’s about venturing out, about trying something new, and most of all, it's about letting your inner ballerina shine! You see, the best part of dancing in a tutu? You become a walking ray of sunshine, and believe me, everyone needs a little more of that in their life. 😉 So go on, find your pink, your tutu, your joy and just like a beautiful dance, let life take you wherever it wants to take you. 💖

Until next time my loves,

Emma x
