Frome: Tutu Adventures and Pink Perfection (Post #2297)

Oh my darlings,

The train journey to Frome was simply delightful. The sun was shining, casting that golden glow across the fields, and the air was crisp and invigorating. As I sat by the window, I couldn't help but feel like I was in one of those old romantic novels - a young lady on a quest for adventure, but with a distinctly pink tutu flavour, of course!

This week's adventure takes me to the charming town of Frome, known for its picturesque streets, independent shops, and the annual Frome Festival, which is just starting. I had to bring my trusty pink leotard, the one that matches my "Always Believe in Fairy Tales" tutu (it's a real showstopper!). I know I always say this, but wearing pink just makes me feel so wonderfully positive and alive!

Iā€™m staying at a little B&B nestled near the River Frome. I chose it for its sweet, little garden overflowing with roses - it reminded me of my grandmaā€™s garden back in Derbyshire. It has this quaint charm that fills me with that lovely sense of peace, a necessary contrast to the hustle and bustle of the ballet world. Speaking of, guess what? Frome is hosting a delightful ā€œBallet by the Riverā€ performance tonight! My dear friend and fellow pink tutu advocate, Sophie, is performing with her company, "Dance Divine", and I wouldnā€™t miss it for the world.

But before the dance spectacle, I had to indulge in some local delights. Frome is famous for its artisan cheeses, and I couldn't resist trying the award-winning cheddar at "The Cheese Cellar". I paired it with some homemade sourdough bread, and it was pure heaven. I know, cheese isn't exactly the most "ballet-friendly" food, but every now and then, you need to indulge!

My exploration continued down the quaint cobblestone streets, lined with independent boutiques and quirky shops selling vintage treasures. I found the most darling hat, a wide-brimmed straw hat with a delicate pink feather, and it screamed, "This hat belongs with a tutu." It's perfect for when I visit the Frome Festival tomorrow, where they have the most fascinating crafts, art, and street performances.

Now, I just can't wait for "Ballet by the River". I love how ballet transforms even the most mundane spaces into a stage for magic. The soft evening light, the whispering wind through the trees, and the river flowing nearby - what a beautiful backdrop for Sophie's graceful movements!

I hope to share my pictures from the show later, along with some of the delightful food and sights Iā€™ve already seen. My little pink tutu diary is filling up quickly, as always!

Letā€™s talk tutu-fication!

Before we embark on more adventures, I want to share my little mission to inspire everyone to try ballet. Thereā€™s this lovely little cafe, "The Pink Teapot", that I just discovered. It's like a dream, overflowing with dainty teacups, pastries, and the most delightful pink china Iā€™ve ever seen. Now, here's a little thought - What if we hosted a "Pink Tutu Tea Party" in the garden, maybe even with some ballet demonstrations and a lesson or two? Imagine: the sun, the birds chirping, delicate sandwiches and sweet cakes, the aroma of freshly brewed tea...and tutus!

We could invite anyone who wants to dance and enjoy the sheer joy of twirling and leaping, maybe even wear our best pink outfits for a real pink-tastic event. Just think, "Ballet in the Garden," or even better, "Ballet by the Pink Teapot". Isnā€™t it a magical idea?

To those who've already joined me on the journey of "Wear a Tutu" and "Try Ballet", a HUGE thank you for your support and inspiration! We're building a community where pink tutus are not just fashion statements but symbols of joy, self-expression, and embracing the beauty of movement.

So tell me, darlings, are you with me? Shall we take Frome by pink tutu storm and encourage everyone to "Twirl with a Smile?" Letā€™s do this, with a sprinkle of pink and a whole lot of magic!

Yours always in pink,

Emma www.pink-tutu.com
