Stratford Upon Avon: A Green Tutu Adventure!

Hello my darlings! It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to Stratford Upon Avon! As you all know, I'm absolutely smitten with the theatre, and Stratford, with its Shakespearean history and charming cobbled streets, felt like stepping into a fairytale. I could almost imagine Hamlet himself wandering past, his melancholy gaze set upon a plump pigeon pecking at a crumb!

Speaking of adorable birds, my journey down began with a lovely train ride. It was such a treat! The Derbyshire countryside flew by in a kaleidoscope of green fields and gentle hills, with sheep dotted about like fluffy clouds. I found myself daydreaming about frolicking amongst the fields, wearing a vibrant pink tutu and a crown of daisies. Maybe it's the idyllic scenery or maybe it's just the allure of pink tutus that has me feeling so utterly dreamy!

Now, the real reason for my visit to Stratford was the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". I couldn't resist seeing this classic play, particularly with its enchanting world of fairies and mischievous sprites! You see, I just can't get enough of fairies! I even made myself a little fairy wings out of pink netting and sparkly embellishments, you know, just for a touch of magic. Oh, I nearly forgot, my outfit! For this special occasion, I opted for a green tutu, you know, the colour of spring and all things fresh and blooming! It looked so elegant with the delicate green leaves and pastel pink roses I added to my hair. Feeling like a true ballerina, I waltzed through the historic streets of Stratford, twirling with delight.

The performance was absolutely magical! The costumes were stunning, with so much attention to detail and sparkle, and the choreography was fluid and enchanting. It was so uplifting, seeing all those actors moving in perfect harmony. The set itself felt so alive, full of hidden nooks and crannies, like a fairytale wood just waiting to be discovered. Oh, the energy in that theatre! It made me want to jump up and twirl right alongside those wonderful actors, even though I had a delicious cappuccino warming my hands and a scrumptious slice of raspberry cheesecake temptingly beside it.

After the performance, I wandering through the streets, enjoying the quaint charm of Stratford. It's just bursting with beautiful, timber-framed houses, quaint boutiques selling all sorts of treasures, and cute cafes brimming with the smell of freshly baked pastries. I was a little girl in a candy shop! And, you guessed it, I indulged in some retail therapy. I found a gorgeous pink cardigan in a little vintage shop - it was simply begging me to take it home!

My adventure concluded with a peaceful evening by the River Avon, with the setting sun casting a golden glow over the water. It was truly a day of magical wonder! I wish you all could have joined me! But, fret not! I have more fabulous adventures in store for us, so stay tuned to www.pink-tutu.com for all my travel updates, musings, and ballet tips!

Until next time,

Love,

Emma.
