Barnet Bound: A Tutu Tale of Trains and Twirling

Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-wearing travel-bunny Emma, back with another thrilling tale from the world of pinks and pirouettes. Today, I'm venturing to the charming town of Barnet, just north of London. And guess what? It’s a whole pink experience!

You see, Barnet holds a special place in my heart. It’s where my granny took me to my first ever ballet class when I was just a little girl with a massive smile and an even bigger dream of being a prima ballerina. Now, all these years later, it feels like coming home to a part of my own personal story.

But enough of the nostalgia! Let’s talk fashion. Now, as you all know, I am a huge believer in the power of a good tutu. A bright, swirling masterpiece that embodies elegance and freedom in every twirl. And what better way to explore Barnet than in a tutu that whispers “pink-a-licious”? Today’s outfit is a dream – a beautiful emerald green number with delicate ruffles that match my playful emerald green scarf.

The journey began with a thrilling train ride. I love travelling by train! It’s such a delightful way to soak up the scenery – the passing fields, the quaint villages, even the grumpy-looking pigeons strutting across the station platform. As for me, I settled into my comfy seat and immediately whipped out my phone for a little Insta-worthy selfie with a picturesque background of rolling hills. After all, who wouldn’t want to see my happy little tutu on their feed?

Finally, Barnet welcomed me with open arms… or maybe I should say, welcoming open shop doors. I was on a mission to discover the tutu-ific little independent boutiques tucked away in Barnet’s charming streets. One particularly darling shop was filled with vintage hats – oh my goodness, it was like a dream come true! And who doesn't love a beautiful hat with a stunning tutu?

And just before my ballet class, I had to make a quick stop at a gorgeous cafe for a pink milkshake! Of course, my emerald green tutu and bright pink milkshake made quite a scene – and by scene, I mean people smiling at me and whispering compliments. It’s true what they say – sometimes, all you need to do is put on a tutu and you become the center of attention, not to mention the happiest person in the room!

Oh, the class itself was glorious! We worked on our graceful grand jetés and soaring leaps – everything a ballet dancer could dream of! And guess what? After class, my teacher was thrilled to know about my “tutu-ful” travels and blog. Maybe, she even whispered that she wanted to join my online community of pink-loving dancers! It makes me so happy to inspire others to dance!

And now, with a satisfied ballerina-heart, it's time for the real reason for my trip – the annual Ballet Society Charity gala. The gala promises a spectacle of grace and beauty, with performances by talented local dancers, both young and seasoned. My anticipation is high! I know it’ll be an unforgettable evening of elegance and artistic expression – and I'm so excited to catch up with my old ballet friends too.

So there you have it, my little darlings – another magical journey from the world of Pink-Tutu. Stay tuned for a full report on the Barnet Ballet Gala in my next post! Remember to keep your dreams alive, keep those tutu’s twirling and never, ever forget to let your inner ballerina shine!

Much love,

Emma
