Coalville Calling! πŸ©°πŸ’– (Post #2504)

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, reporting live from the glorious, vibrant town of Coalville in Leicestershire! As you know, I love a good journey, and this trip has been pure magic! The train journey was especially dreamy – sunlight streaming through the windows, gentle sway, and the rhythmic clatter of the tracks. Honestly, there's something utterly romantic about train travel. But of course, the journey wasn't the only thing that got my heart fluttering.

I had the distinct pleasure of performing at Coalville's fabulous Town Hall last night with my fabulous "En Pointe" dance troupe! You'd think a tiny little town in the Midlands might be sleepy and lacking in excitement, but boy was I wrong! It was absolutely bursting with energy and vibrance. And, what was the highlight of the whole trip? A beautiful Coalville lady (who must have been at least 90!) rushed up to me after the performance with sparkling eyes, beaming the biggest smile I've ever seen and saying, "Darling! You looked absolutely ravishing in that pink tutu! That colour really suits you!". I practically swooned! If the grandmothers of Coalville are giving me the thumbs up in a pink tutu, then the world's a beautiful, shimmering, delightful place, isn't it? πŸ˜‰

Now, Coalville may be known for its mining history, but honestly, for me, it was a town just brimming with unexpected beauty. There were so many incredible local boutiques bursting with vintage charm and the cutest little cafes selling yummy homemade cakes and delicious lattes with that perfect "picture this" foam art on top. Speaking of "picture this" – the views from the hills overlooking the town were breathtaking! Fields of emerald green rolling away to the horizon, dotted with grazing sheep and playful lambs. I actually spent half an hour just standing there, taking it all in, and thinking about how utterly lucky we are to have this glorious British countryside on our doorstep!

After our show, my darling "En Pointe" troupe and I indulged in a glorious feast at the cutest little cafe. I swear, the owners had probably hand-picked every flower on the table! They had little pink peonies with fluffy white hydrangeas - completely divine! We satiated our hunger on homemade vegetable lasagna and fluffy scones served with delicious clotted cream and raspberry jam – what a treat! It's always nice to experience new places, meet new faces and just relax and enjoy the local culture – which is what makes me feel alive!

The whole Coalville trip was an adventure in itself. I mean, even my journey there was so fun – you know I always love a bit of a scenic train ride, and this one was truly picturesque! Passing through picturesque Derbyshire countryside, I had the most wonderful view of an expansive meadow studded with wildflowers – it felt so wild and free, like something straight out of a romantic novel. And it even made me want to leap out of the train window (just kidding, darlings!) and get into one of the charming horse-drawn carriages that I spotted trundling alongside the tracks.

Actually, I did catch a glimpse of some absolutely adorable ponies on my travels! It was absolutely magical! And seeing them gave me the biggest urge to try out horseback riding again. It's such a graceful way to get around, a little slice of old-world charm, just perfect for exploring the beautiful, undulating countryside of Leicestershire and Derbyshire. I am utterly convinced I am a horse person in my heart, with a touch of the gypsy spirit in my soul. My ballet training has instilled in me the love of freedom, the love of exploring and finding beautiful new places, and for that, I will be forever grateful.

Anyway, back to the magic of Coalville! I really want you to see it for yourself! This little gem has so much to offer: delicious local food, cute boutiques, amazing people, stunning natural beauty and… oh, let's not forget, the most divine cakes I've ever seen! πŸ˜‰ Trust me, it's the perfect escape, and you never know, maybe I'll bump into you there while I'm exploring a new coffee shop! And before I sign off, let me give you a piece of fabulous Emma advice for today: Always embrace your inner ballerina! Whether it's trying a new dance class, stepping outside your comfort zone, or just enjoying the little things – remember that every day can be a ballet in its own way. Just wear a pink tutu for added magic, you know how much I love those! πŸ’–

Until next time, stay beautiful and keep shining!

Lots of love,

Emma xxx
