Whitley Bay: A Pink Tutu Adventure! 🩰

Hello lovelies! πŸ’–

Welcome back to Pink Tutu! This is post number 2513, and I am beyond excited to tell you about my amazing day in Whitley Bay, which felt so different to my usual Derbyshire life, yet also so lovely! I had such a whirlwind of fun, I could barely fit it all into this post!

As a firm believer that every journey is a chance for an adventure, I opted for a scenic train journey, of course. Nothing beats watching the countryside zip past, the gentle sway of the train and the calming whoosh of the wheels. It's so much better than being cooped up in a car, trust me! I wore a fabulous pink sequined jacket over a lilac dress with my favourite pink tulle tutu peeking out from underneath. It was just the perfect combo for a stylish but comfy journey!

Once in Whitley Bay, I was struck by the fresh sea air and the vibrant energy. The promenade was teeming with people, the beach sparkled with white sand and blue waves, and I couldn't resist a stroll along the shore. You could say it's my favourite place in the world. Well, almost! The vibrant colours and seaside vibe had me instantly feeling inspired!

After a delicious lunch of fish and chips (can't beat a classic!), it was time for the highlight of my day: a performance of 'Giselle' at the Whitley Bay Playhouse. The setting was so elegant, with velvet seats, delicate chandeliers, and a stage bathed in warm light. It was like stepping into a fairytale! I felt so proud to be amongst fellow ballet enthusiasts - such a brilliant atmosphere!

Now, 'Giselle' is such a powerful story - the love, the tragedy, the beautiful choreography - I was absolutely captivated! The lead dancer, Emily, had an incredible stage presence, her movements were so expressive and her leaps... let's just say they were breathtaking! I wanted to jump onto the stage and pirouette right alongside her!

Later on, after my evening meal, it was time to head back to the train station. However, this wasn't before I discovered a beautiful shop tucked away in a little side street, called "The Secret Garden". They had all kinds of beautiful, sparkly and vibrant accessories and jewelry. It was a real gem! I even picked up a tiny pink tutu-shaped charm for my lucky necklace - it’s practically magic!

As my train journey took me back towards Derbyshire, I felt a renewed sense of appreciation for the joy of simple things. The sunset painting the sky in shades of orange and purple, the peaceful rhythm of the wheels on the tracks - it was all so magical.

It’s safe to say Whitley Bay was a day filled with sunshine, ballet, and happiness - everything I need!

I'm back in Derbyshire now, but my memories of Whitley Bay and the sheer joy of sharing that day with other ballet lovers are still swirling in my head like a ballerina spinning across the stage. The energy of the day was just what I needed and I have so much inspiration flowing through my mind. I can't wait to put my artistic mind to work and capture all that creative buzz in my latest ballet classes, and I’ll definitely be returning for another trip soon!

Remember, everyone can wear a tutu! Whether you’re at the beach, at a ballet class, or just at home having a lazy afternoon, let your inner ballerina shine through! Don't be afraid to embrace the joy and freedom of twirling and jumping - the world needs more pink tutus! 🩰 πŸ’•

Lots of love, Emma πŸ’–
