Good morning darlings! ☀️ It's your favourite pink tutu-clad blogger, Emma, here, ready to whisk you away to a delightful day trip to the charming town of Ashington!
I simply had to get out of Derbyshire for a bit and breathe in some fresh air. Now, you know how much I love my trusty steed, but today I decided to indulge in a journey by train! The gentle chugging of the carriages and the sweeping landscapes outside the window are a true delight. It's just like stepping into a magical fairy tale - minus the dragons, of course!
Arriving in Ashington, I felt like I'd stepped into a different world. It's full of those cute little shops and cobbled streets that always make me happy.
My first stop? A little independent tea shop tucked away in a quaint corner. The smell of fresh pastries and steaming Earl Grey filled my senses, and the owner was absolutely delightful! We talked about the town and her plans for an upcoming 'Tutus in the Park' event. Can you imagine? So many people dressed in their prettiest pink tutus, dancing in the park sunshine! My heart just skipped a beat! 🩰☀️
Fueled by delicious cake and warm tea, I ventured further, exploring the local art scene. Ashington's got such a lively and talented bunch, it's truly inspiring! One gallery featured this fantastic exhibit about local wildlife - everything from graceful deer to cheeky squirrels. You'd think I was back in my childhood days at the zoo, the way I was giggling at the pictures! 🦌🐿️
After a bit of shopping, I finally stumbled upon the gem of the day! A ballet school nestled in a quiet courtyard. The energy inside was simply contagious. It was so inspiring to see these young ballerinas honing their skills. Even though I couldn't resist joining them for a little impromptu waltz. Who needs a dance floor when you've got a sunlit courtyard and the sweetest pink tutu?! 💕
This town just has such a special spirit to it! It felt so heartwarming to connect with locals and learn about their stories. You could truly feel the pride in their hearts, just like I feel in my own whenever I'm twirling in my pink tutu.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky in fiery hues of orange and purple, I knew it was time to head back. But, my Ashington adventure will always hold a special place in my heart. This place made me feel alive, filled with wonder and a renewed appreciation for the beauty of life, all in the most graceful of forms: a pink tutu, of course!
