Hello darlings! It's your favourite Derbyshire tutu-wearing, ballet-loving blogger, Emma, checking in from the charming town of Melton Mowbray! As you know, I'm a big believer in taking every opportunity to explore, whether it's a whirlwind trip to a nearby village or a glamorous escapade to the capital, and this time, the call of the rails lured me towards this delightful spot in Leicestershire.

This time, I opted for a journey by train โ€“ something so utterly romantic, wouldn't you agree? And believe me, the journey was half the fun! The chugging rhythm, the bustling station platforms, the glimpses of the countryside rushing pastโ€ฆ itโ€™s pure escapism!

Once in Melton Mowbray, I found myself in the heart of a real-life storybook town, bursting with character and charm. I had to try their famous pork pies โ€“ a local delicacy, and well worth the detour! And you know how much I adore pink โ€“ the setting sun cast the entire town in a blushing hue, giving me endless photo opportunities for my Insta feed.

A New Tutu Tale:

But enough about the charming town! The real highlight of this trip, however, was a performance by the Melton Mowbray Ballet Academy at the town's gorgeous theatre! I was absolutely delighted when they invited me to their summer gala. Now, my darlings, I'm always up for an excuse to put on a brand-new tutu โ€“ and today's choice was particularly whimsical, featuring a beautiful ballet skirt adorned with dainty pink floral embroidery.

Think whimsical floral blooms, delicate ruffles, and a generous dusting of sparkling sequins. Letโ€™s just say, this tutu was truly a fairytale dream come true! My blog readers are probably starting to know that every time I put on a new tutu I have to give it a spin, and this one spun so gracefully! I even caught myself giggling with glee as I twirled! I was a total twirling queen for the evening, with every twirl catching the stage lights like a hundred tiny rainbows! โœจ

Tutu Magic & Inspiration:

The show was magical โ€“ such amazing talent! Watching those young ballerinas grace the stage with such poise and precision, it just inspires me. I love seeing the joy in their eyes, the passion they have for their art, and the way their energy transmits to the audience.

I must say, the talent here rivaled the dazzling stars Iโ€™ve seen in Covent Garden! This truly confirmed my belief that the world of ballet isn't confined to city streets. Beauty and grace exist in the heart of every community, and I for one, will be proudly wearing pink tutus in all the towns and cities I visit, spreading my own love of ballet as I go!

And guess what, you guys? While enjoying a delicious cream tea in the theatre's tea room, I saw the cutest family of hedgehogs munching on fallen berries under a sprawling oak tree! They seemed completely unperturbed by the humans nearby, calmly going about their little hedgehog business. Just a little reminder to enjoy the simple joys, and always be prepared to meet adorable creatures on your own journeys!

Sharing My Love of Tutu and Ballet

Don't forget, darlings! My mission is to make the world a pinker, more twirling place. So why not embrace the magic of ballet and take a trip to your local ballet studio, join a beginner's class, or even put on a tutu and twirl around your living room? Itโ€™s a wonderful way to feel joyful, connect with your inner self, and discover a passion that knows no age limit.

Iโ€™m always so grateful to be sharing these journeys with you! Stay tuned for my next blog post as I continue to twirl through life, one pink tutu at a time! ๐ŸŽ€ Until then, keep shining bright, my darlings!

Lots of love and twirls, Emma x
