Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-wearing blogger, Emma, back from a whirlwind trip to Southampton. I've just popped the kettle on and am settling down with a cuppa and a slice of Victoria sponge (oh, the joys of being back in Derbyshire!). But before I share all the lovely gossip and fabulous fashion finds, let me tell you, my Southampton adventures were pure sunshine and pink tulle... literally!
This time, I ditched the usual pink for a daring burst of yellow. You know I love a splash of colour, and I was feeling bold and sassy. The sunshine was dazzling, reflecting off the shimmering Solent, and my yellow tutu just seemed to perfectly capture the joyful spirit of the day.
The journey down was as picturesque as ever. Instead of the usual train, I took a detour on horseback, cantering across the lush green fields, a delightful experience in itself! The wind whipping through my hair, the warm sun on my skin... just a perfect prelude to my exciting weekend!
Now, onto the good stuff...
Ballet Blitz
Southampton's ballet scene was bursting with life! I started off at the stunning Mayflower Theatre, where I took in an incredible performance of Swan Lake. The dancing was flawless, the music divine, and the story was simply breathtaking. Oh, to twirl and leap with such grace! And don't even get me started on the costumes - pure ballet magic! They certainly got my creative juices flowing for my next pink tutu design.
Southampton Style Stroll
After the ballet, I embarked on a fashion exploration, seeking out those hidden gems of boutiques that I just adore! Southampton had so much to offer! I fell in love with the quirky independent shops on the cobbled streets, finding the perfect yellow floral-patterned fascinator for my next picnic in the park.
Sunset by the Sea
To top it off, I strolled along the beautiful Southampton coastline, watching the sun paint the sky in vibrant shades of pink and orange. The gentle breeze carried the scent of the sea and I simply couldn't help but twirl, my yellow tutu swirling around me in the light.
The sheer happiness of the day had me floating on air. My heart was full to bursting. The whole trip felt like a fairytale, from the sunny meadows to the seaside stroll, and every beautiful moment in between.
