Hello darlings! ๐Ÿ‘‹ It's your favourite tutu-loving travel-bug, Emma, checking in from the bustling city of Manchester! The air here is thick with a mix of excitement, a hint of industrial grit, and, most importantly, the thrilling scent of adventure.

I must say, there's something incredibly charming about hopping on a train and leaving Derbyshire behind, only to emerge into a totally different world. Today's journey was a whimsical ride through the heart of England, passing emerald green fields dotted with charming villages. I felt like I was gliding through a Constable painting! ๐ŸŽจ

But before I get ahead of myself, let's talk about the reason for this grand adventure!

I'm in Manchester for a truly unique ballet experience! You know me, always up for something a little different, something that throws the ordinary out the window and lets my tutu fly! This time, I'm in town to catch the opening night of 'Alice in Wonderland'. Now, I've seen my fair share of ballet interpretations of classic stories, but this production promises to be a right treat. The Royal Ballet of Manchester is renowned for its whimsical performances, and I've heard rumours of an incredibly bold use of colour - a little birdie told me pink will be making an appearance... I can't wait! ๐Ÿคซ

Speaking of pink, my outfit today is an absolute dream. Imagine, if you will, a dazzling pink tulle tutu with layers and layers of frills. It practically screams 'twirling worthy' and complements my ballet flats perfectly. And yes, I've brought my trusty pink satin cardigan, just in case the evening chill sets in. A little splash of glittery pink eye shadow and my usual winged eyeliner are the finishing touches for a look that is sure to turn heads in the theatre tonight. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Speaking of turns, did you know there are seven different turns in ballet? They each have their own specific nuances and challenge a ballerina's balance, core strength, and artistry. A real testament to the athleticism of ballet dancers! But enough about me, let's get back to the exciting stuff!

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the wildlife adventure I had on my way to Manchester. I caught a glimpse of a graceful swan gliding across a crystal clear lake in a park on the outskirts of Derbyshire. Such grace and poise! And I felt a bit like I was seeing myself in a graceful reflection, you know, in my tutu! ๐Ÿฆข

Anyway, darlings, this is a little taste of the grand adventure I'm embarking on in Manchester. I'll be sure to fill you in on the delights of this lively city in my next post. Stay tuned for my review of the show, as well as a rundown of my favourite spots for afternoon tea (can't resist a bit of cake and bubbly)! ๐Ÿฐ

Before I go, remember, my mission in life is to encourage everyone to try ballet. And yes, that includes a beautiful, pink tutu. Embrace the joy of dance, and who knows? Maybe you'll even catch the ballet bug like me! ๐Ÿ’•

Stay fabulous,

Emma ๐Ÿฉฐ
