Weston-super-Mare: Tutuing on the Coast!

Hello lovelies! It's Emma here, your favourite pink-loving tutu enthusiast, ready to whisk you away on a magical journey to the seaside! This week, I traded in the rolling Derbyshire hills for the windswept beauty of Weston-super-Mare, and oh my, what an adventure it was!

You know how I adore a good railway journey? This time, I boarded a steam train, and I’m telling you, the romance of that chugging engine, the countryside scenery whizzing by – utter bliss! It reminded me of a vintage film, the kind with old-fashioned ladies in long dresses and impossibly handsome gentlemen. But back to my trip, you know I'm all about practicality in a glamorous fashion, so I wore my "Buttercream Swirl" tutu – a beautiful cream-colored concoction, perfectly complementing the scenic views. And speaking of deliciousness, Weston-super-Mare was practically calling my name with its delightful food offerings.

The Grand Pier is a real marvel, a whirlwind of colour and carnival spirit, complete with candy floss and popcorn! As soon as I got there, I knew I had to incorporate it into my photo shoot. And let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed! Posing on that pier with the blue sky above, my tutu flowing in the sea breeze, the seagulls squawking in the background… absolute perfection!

My culinary escapade started with fish and chips, a true British seaside classic. As I savored the crispy batter and fluffy fish, I found myself reminiscing about childhood holidays. It felt like a taste of happiness and freedom, reminding me why I love visiting the coast. And as always, a delicious ice cream was a must-have, but not just any old flavour, oh no, we're talking about bubblegum-pink pistachio with sprinkles!

But let's talk about the most spectacular sight, a ballet performance under the stars, at the famous Playhouse! I can’t get enough of the elegant moves and dramatic emotions these performers embody. Watching these incredibly talented dancers with their perfectly executed leaps and spins left me utterly mesmerized! You’d be surprised how much inspiration I draw from seeing professional ballet. It really makes me want to get my dancing shoes on and go for a spin. And you know me, always ready for a challenge! My friend Sarah convinced me to try a drop-in class with the local dance studio – we had so much fun, even if my legs screamed at me the next day!

There’s so much more I could tell you about this wonderful weekend. But let’s face it, I'm all about the details, the little things that make life fabulous. Like, you know how I’m always on the lookout for cute animals? Well, a pair of mischievous seagulls even stole a piece of my delicious, pink-tinted, ice cream! It was quite a struggle, but those feathery thieves ultimately managed to secure their prize. I must admit, watching them devour their stolen treat was strangely heartwarming! They deserved it!

In the end, it was hard to leave the picturesque shores of Weston-super-Mare. But as the sun set over the glistening water, I knew I was taking a piece of its charm with me – memories of my pastel-hued tutu swirling in the salty breeze, the delectable aroma of fish and chips and laughter, and the feeling of complete and utter contentment!

My dearest lovelies, this is your daily dose of inspiration to embrace the whimsical, the pink, and the fantastic! So go on, try something new! Visit the coast, or explore your city! Wear a tutu – it's always a good time! Let's make this world a pink, tutu-fied place, one twirl at a time!

Love and tutus, Emma
