Wellingborough Calling! 🩰

Hello darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, and I'm thrilled to be writing this post from the beautiful, quaint town of Wellingborough! I just arrived, having journeyed here by train, of course! I love the gentle sway of the carriage, the soft chugging of the engine... it's so reminiscent of the elegant movements of a waltz.

Now, Wellingborough has an air of sweet old-world charm, wouldn't you say? Imagine charming, cobblestone streets, quaint little tea rooms with delectable scones (scone, darling, not scone, if you please!), and… yes, a most fabulous ballet class!

You see, my dear friends, this little town is secretly a hub for all things ballet. They have this magnificent ballet studio – oh, I wish you could see it! A stunning old Victorian building with the most gorgeous stained glass windows depicting scenes from Swan Lake, naturally! And let's not forget the breathtaking grand piano, looking as majestic as a prince in his finest attire.

Oh, the class itself was utterly divine! The instructor, a lovely woman named Miss Emily, was a pure delight, with a sweet, honeyed voice that sounded like the wind through the branches of an ancient oak. We danced with the grace of swans, the lightness of a ballerina en pointe, and the energy of a gazillion bouncing pinks – because, my lovelies, you must have guessed – I wore my new German tutu!

Oh, this tutu! It’s so über* fab, darling. The colour, the detail! It's like a dream woven in silk and sequins. You'd think it was born of a fairy's dream spun under a moonlit sky, wouldn’t you? The colour is the most heavenly shade of lavender – lavender, darling, it’s so utterly chic, so exquisitely feminine, so beautifully ethereal…

You see, my dear friends, this wasn’t just any old tutu! It was specially imported from a tiny little shop in Berlin. I stumbled across it when I was in the city on a whim – a wonderful whim! It was the shop with the giant, pink, almost life-size Tutu hanging in the window – you can imagine the pink frenzy that ensued.

This new German tutu will be making its debut in my next ballet street performance! We’re doing a piece set to ‘Waltz of the Flowers’ with a few fun pink twists. The costumes are going to be glorious! I can't wait to twirl around town in my German wonder, with the pinkest of smiles on my face.

Speaking of which… I just popped into this charming antique shop right next to the ballet studio and found the most wonderful thing. A porcelain ballerina with the most dazzling pink tutu, so perfectly sculpted, so delicately adorned – oh, you simply had to see it!

Anyway, after such a whirlwind day, I'm utterly famished! I’m about to head to the local pub – an adorable place called ‘The Plough’ – for a hearty dinner and a nice glass of pink… no, wait, I must resist! But you know me, darling – always a good choice for a fancy, girly night!

As always, I'll be sharing more from my delightful Wellingborough adventure tomorrow! Remember, darlings, dance, twirl, and keep sparkling like the stars!

Much love,

Emma
