Highbury - Post 2821

Hello my gorgeous ballet bunnies!

I'm back from the most magical trip to London, and guess what? I’m positively bouncing with excitement to tell you all about it! 💖

So, after a leisurely train journey from Derbyshire (you know how much I love train journeys, they're so romantic!), I arrived in London feeling like a true ballerina, ready to soak up all the beauty and excitement the city has to offer.

But this wasn’t just any trip. I had a very special mission. You see, I’m not only a devoted ballet fan, but I also have this adorable new tutu in the most vibrant shade of pink. I’ve nicknamed her ‘La Bella Rosa’ because, well, she’s simply beautiful! I wanted to show her off in the heart of London, and Highbury seemed like the perfect spot for it.

My first stop, of course, was Highbury, home to the beautiful Emirates Stadium, and believe it or not, it has this most enchanting charm about it. Even without the pink tutu on, I found myself swirling and leaping just like a prima ballerina – the streets felt like my very own stage.

Next, I went to see "Giselle," and let me tell you, I’ve never been so captivated by a ballet. The beauty, the passion, the pure joy… it was like I was being swept away on a whirlwind of silk and grace. And when I stood up to applaud, I couldn’t help but think… maybe I'll take up ballet professionally. 🤔 Who knows, I might even have a ‘La Bella Rosa’ debut at the Royal Opera House someday!

But enough about me! You know me, I’m all about spreading the ballet love, so here’s what else I discovered during my trip:

  • The Perfect Afternoon Tea: Highbury is filled with the most delightful little cafes. I stumbled upon a hidden gem that served the most fabulous afternoon tea, complete with dainty finger sandwiches, delicious pastries, and of course, an endless pot of Earl Grey tea. You bet I wore my ‘La Bella Rosa’ tutu to this feast of elegance!

  • Green Spaces in the Heart of the City: Even though I’m a girly-girl, I also love the thrill of adventure! After tea, I found myself wandering through Highbury Fields, the greenest and most enchanting park I've seen in London! Imagine a fairytale where birdsong replaces the busy city chatter, and it’s true! I couldn't resist snapping photos of every blossom I saw. It's these little green oases in the city that bring so much peace and happiness.

  • Charming Little Shops: Highbury is simply a haven for those of us who love to browse! I stumbled upon this tiny boutique called "La Vie en Rose." How fitting, right? I practically bought the whole store! They had everything a girly-girl could wish for: pretty hair accessories, beautiful jewelry, and even this delicate lace shawl to match my ‘La Bella Rosa’ tutu.

As the sun began to set, casting long, graceful shadows across Highbury, I couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of peace. London was truly a wonderland of beauty and grace, and even though I knew it was time to return to Derbyshire, I was already longing for my next ballet adventure.

Pink Tutus and Ballet Bunnies: My London Mantra

Before I end this post, I want to share with you a new mantra I’ve adopted on my London trip. It’s simple, yet powerful: "Life is too short to not wear a pink tutu."

I think we should all embrace the power of a pink tutu, don’t you agree? It’s a reminder to dance through life with joy, grace, and a little bit of pink sparkle. Just imagine a world where everyone wears a pink tutu and twirls and leaps their way through life – what a beautiful, whimsical place it would be!

Now, tell me: What are your plans to embrace your inner ballet bunny? Let me know in the comments! 💕

Until next time,

Emma
