Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-clad traveller, Emma, reporting live from the seaside town of Crosby! This post is extra special because I’m finally in this gorgeous place! My, oh my, Crosby is truly the perfect place to get a breath of fresh sea air and, of course, channel my inner ballerina.
After all, the ultimate pink tutu deserves the perfect backdrop – and the sprawling beach here at Crosby has got me utterly smitten! With the sun dappling on the golden sand and the vast expanse of the sea stretching out in front of me, I can practically feel the magic of the waves swirling through my own dancing steps.
Did I mention the beach sculptures? Magnifique! Those enigmatic Antony Gormley figures - standing stoically in the sea like ballet dancers frozen in time. It's absolutely spellbinding. And just like the waves constantly shifting, their position changes each day - a never-ending ballet on the water’s edge!
Train travel magic:
Speaking of journeys, my darling, this trip involved some seriously magical train travel. I mean, come on, there's nothing quite like a journey on a vintage train, the windows wide open, catching the breeze in my hair and the scenery whipping by as I imagine myself waltzing down the track. And that journey included my ultimate pink dream - a hot pink macaron from the station cafe! A perfect little touch of sweetness to make a good trip even better!

This weekend is dedicated to making my very own tutu dreams come true - because, as you know, life is simply not complete without a fabulous pink tutu. Especially when you're by the seaside. And my dearest, I am talking about an actual tutu - a glorious confection of fluffy tulle, adorned with a shimmering splash of pink ribbon. And I am planning to unleash my inner twirling ballerina and let loose in Crosby's picturesque settings - and you can all be a part of my fun through my Instagram! I'll be sure to post stories of my tututimes at Crosby - get ready for some seriously adorable dance moves (and a whole lot of twirling!)!
Crosby's Delights - Where food meets fancy!
Now, any self-respecting ballet dancer needs sustenance, don't you agree? Especially one who has just finished an intense session of twirling in a vibrant pink tutu. So, of course, my seaside escape must involve an extravagant feast of seafood and a generous helping of scrumptious cake, or two! I'm already dreaming of delicious oysters, the freshest catch of the day, and maybe even a little dessert that I can share with the ducks in the local park. They do love a sweet treat!

For my fellow balletomanes, I'm whispering in your ears (although maybe not quite whispering!) about a local dance academy here in Crosby! They have amazing classes for every age - a real delight for every aspiring ballerina. From basic technique to elegant ballet, these dance classes are all about inspiring a love for the art of movement. You might even spot me there myself!

Just imagine the picture: me, clad in my pink tutu, standing against the stunning backdrop of Crosby, with the gentle murmur of the sea waves in the air - and the smell of salt mingling with the sweet scent of the pink macarons in my handbag. It is enough to send me into a blissful, pink-tinted frenzy! And for all of you wonderful souls, remember: life is a dance - a glorious, colourful, vibrant, and occasionally chaotic ballet!
