TutuBlog #3019: Arnold Adventures in a Sporty Tutu 🩰💖

Hey loves! It’s your favourite Derbyshire dancer, Emma, back with another update from the world of pink tutus and twirling adventures!

Today I'm whisking you off to the beautiful town of Arnold! (It rhymes with "Ronald," if you were wondering – yes, I had to check too!). It was actually my first visit, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I was on my way to a glorious ballet class hosted at a lovely dance studio called "The Swan's Pointe." (See what they did there? It’s all about those graceful landings, my dears!)

The train ride was the perfect opportunity to admire the countryside. Autumn is truly breathtaking, with all those fiery red and golden hues. Plus, there was a little field with adorable fluffy sheep on one side – a dancer's dream, right? I can picture them wearing tiny tutus in my head...

Once I reached Arnold, I had to choose how to get to the studio. There’s something quite romantic about strolling down charming streets, taking in all the quaint shops and hidden cafes. But alas, the weather was less than idyllic! A drizzle of rain began, which meant that only one option was suitable for my prized tutu: trusty steed! Well, perhaps not a horse literally, but the local cab driver certainly played the role beautifully. He took me all the way to the studio, carefully avoiding the worst of the rain puddles – very considerate, indeed!

Speaking of considerate, the dance studio itself was a sanctuary. It felt warm and welcoming, even though the rain had started to really pour outside. All those lovely dancers greeted me with warm smiles and bright eyes - it felt like entering a magical community of twirling spirits!

Today’s class was a delight! I even brought my brand new "Sporty Tutu," designed especially for class – the softest shade of pink, of course. Imagine, my dears, a tutu with a touch of elastic woven into the fabric for added support, and some extra layers of tulle around the skirt for added bounce and fun! I couldn’t help but spin and twirl after the class!

I discovered something truly special while I was at "The Swan’s Pointe," which I have to tell you all about. Apparently, a local ballet school for young children has teamed up with a wildlife charity. They hold special classes in the zoo with the aim of teaching ballet to kids while introducing them to the wonders of the natural world! How delightful, don't you think? I just couldn't resist adding my support to this wonderful project and pledged to donate my latest Tutu Blog earnings to their cause. Every penny will help make it a ballet-filled haven for the little dancers! It truly reminds me why I dedicate my blog and myself to promoting the joy of ballet - a fusion of grace and strength, of art and life, a captivating expression of our inner beauty!

Before I leave you to explore your own creative paths, I just have to leave you with a challenge: how about we all go to the theatre and embrace the joy of seeing a live ballet performance this weekend? We can wear our pink tutus – mine will be waiting for me back in Derbyshire, but you don't need a new tutu! A little twirling around in your own living room can have just as much fun! We’re a ballet-loving community and the joy of dance is infectious! I can’t wait to see what fantastic adventures your ballet journeys lead to this week. Keep those twirls strong and hearts open, darlings!

Yours in dance and glitter,

Emma 💕🩰
