Bournville Bound: Pink Tutus and Chocolate Dreams (Post #3082)

Hello, darlings! Emma here, ready to whisk you away on another pink-tutu-filled adventure! Today, I'm taking you to the heart of chocolate heaven, the birthplace of Cadbury's – Bournville!

Now, I'm not just saying this because I have a sweet tooth the size of a pirouette (although let's be honest, I do!), but Bournville is just adorable. It's like stepping into a storybook, full of charming streets lined with pretty houses, each one more picturesque than the next. The air smells of chocolate and something deliciously sweet – it's like a permanent Willy Wonka's factory experience.

Of course, no trip to Bournville would be complete without a visit to the Cadbury World, a must-do for any chocolate lover. I, for one, could have spent all day in the factory, watching the chocolate making process in action – it was mesmerising! 🍫 I even got to taste some brand new creations, a total treat for this pink tutu princess.

But don't worry, I didn't neglect my ballet side! The train journey down was surprisingly delightful. I found myself mesmerised by the scenery. The green fields just swishing by. Watching the little towns fly past the window. It was so pretty and reminded me of that amazing horse riding experience I had recently, galloping through the Derbyshire hills on my faithful steed, "Sparkling".

Later that afternoon, I squeezed in a ballet class at the local community centre. The teacher was delightful – a kind old lady with an incredibly energetic personality and an eye for detail. We focused on some lovely en pointe work (did I mention how much I love being en pointe? You practically feel like you can fly!), some gorgeous ballets, and even got to have a little play with a few pirouette tricks!

The day was a beautiful blend of sweet treats and ballet joy – just the way I like it. It made me realise, yet again, that there's always something magical waiting to be discovered, just a little step outside your comfort zone. I mean, even Cadbury's world has something to do with art - look at all that meticulous design on their chocolates and their beautifully sculpted Bournville Village.

So, what have I learnt today, darlings? First, always say "yes" to new adventures, even if it involves travelling by train (even though horses remain my absolute fave!). Second, ballet isn't just a studio activity – it's a state of mind, something that shines through in every facet of your life, even on a chocolatey day in Bournville. Third, even the smallest town, like Bournville, can be the starting point for a whirlwind of wonder. And fourth, pink tutus are universally awesome. πŸ˜‰

I’ll be back tomorrow with more adventures to share, but until then, stay bright and sparkly. Perhaps wear a pink tutu just to embrace your inner ballerina. Remember, you’re never too old to dance, you’re never too old to feel pretty, and you’re certainly never too old for chocolate. πŸ’•

Yours in pink tutus,

Emma x
