Watford Wanderings: Pink Tutu Edition! 🩰

Hello lovelies! πŸ‘‹

It's your girl Emma, back with another instalment of Pink Tutu adventures! This time, I'm waltzing my way through Watford, a town in Hertfordshire (not as far from my Derbyshire roots as I thought!), all in the name of ballet, of course! πŸ’–

This weekend was a whirlwind of pinks and pirouettes. First up, a visit to the stunning Watford Palace Theatre to watch the National Ballet perform The Sleeping Beauty. Seriously, the costumes were everything! So much tulle and glitter, and I spotted a blush pink tutu that had me dreaming of twirls. Speaking of tutus, I opted for my lilac number for the occasion, matching my ballet bag which is absolutely bursting with pink satin. I'm sure you all know, pink and lilac just work perfectly together! πŸ’…

After the show, we enjoyed a spot of dinner at The Maltsters a cute pub just around the corner, and we caught a glimpse of the beautiful Watford town hall, lit up in all its glory. I snapped some pics with my iPhone, and the photos are so cute. They're practically begging to be posted on my Instagram! πŸ₯°

Before the theatre, I was lucky enough to catch a Royal Ballet School open day. I've been wanting to visit for ages. There were students from all ages, and it was amazing to see them stretching and practicing their pliΓ©s and arabesques. Honestly, it was like I was transported back to my own childhood ballet days. It made my heart so happy. I just had to do a bit of ballet myself and did a few jumps in the hall, before my chaperones called me out!🀫 Of course, I had my pink tutu packed in my bag and was prepared for any ballet emergency! πŸ’–

Now, the reason for my visit to Watford - a beautiful weekend away with some of my fellow ballet bunnies! I just love escaping for a few days, especially when I can take my pink ballet gear along! (Don’t even get me started on my Pink Tutu collection... let's just say there are many!) We filled our time with walks along the Grand Union Canal (so scenic!), catching the Warner Bros Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter (my love for magic knows no bounds! ), and lots of laughter, chats, and even a bit of (ballet inspired!) dancing in the local park.

There's something truly magical about ballet in the park! It’s all about grace and freedom – just like those horses you see grazing in the fields outside Watford! I even caught sight of a pheasant. Now you know I am a bird-lover, so the little fella definitely added to the beauty of my journey! πŸ•ŠοΈ

And speaking of horses, I have to tell you, I got to take a gorgeous carriage ride back to my Derbyshire home! A long journey, but so luxurious. Just me and my pink tutu, soaking in the scenery. It felt so grand and definitely worthy of my Instagram feed!

I feel so incredibly lucky to be a dancer, a traveler, and a blogger. It truly is a dream come true! Every day is an adventure. So remember my darlings, life is short, wear pink and wear your tutus! Embrace the world and spin your own happy endings. πŸ˜‰

Until next time, keep twirling! πŸ’–

Love, Emma
