Hey darlings! It's your girl, Emma, back with another dose of pink tutu goodness straight from the heart of Derbyshire, ready to whisk you away on a delightful trip to Carlisle!
Carlisle, with its cobbled streets and medieval castles, holds a special place in my heart. Not just for its charm, but for the gorgeous, twirling adventures I get up to there! I'm such a hopeless romantic at heart and I adore the romance that Carlisle oozes, all those fairytale vibes with its historic sites! You can’t help but feel a bit of magic in the air, which definitely makes me feel extra sparkly when I'm twirling in my tutus, wouldn't you agree?
Speaking of tutus, today's outfit is pure fairytale fantasy, a dreamy ensemble of the softest blush pink tulle I could find, with delicate sequin accents that shimmer like fairy dust. I had to bring the magic to the Carlisle scene, and this tutu was definitely up for the challenge. I even paired it with some adorable floral appliqué pumps that just added a dash of extra floral whimsy to the look! Don't worry, darling, the full outfit will be revealed soon - a little teaser, though, because the magic unfolds slowly in Carlisle... I might be biased, but a little sprinkle of magic on a tutu can make even the dullest day in Carlisle magical!
Now, let's talk about getting to Carlisle! This time, I took a scenic journey on a delightful steam train. Yes, darlings, steam train! The carriages were plush and comfy, the scenery was stunning and it just added an extra layer of romance to my trip. And oh my goodness, there's nothing quite like a steam train whistle, sending those gorgeous plumes of steam puffing through the air - pure magic!
One thing about Carlisle: they are blessed with some delightful, cute, fluffy, wild creatures. While in town I popped by the beautiful Carlisle Castle, and wouldn't you know it, there were even some gorgeous swans and their little cygnets chilling by the water's edge. Such elegant creatures, graceful in their every move. It made me think of graceful ballerinas and tutus in swirling, watery scenes - which just brings me back to the wonder of this town.
Carlisle really was such a treat for the senses, the fresh air was crisp and invigorating, and there were so many pretty buildings and gorgeous greenery - you just can't beat it for a spot of romantic exploration. There were charming little tea shops tucked away, ready to serve delicious treats with a splash of pink, and so many cute antique shops overflowing with whimsical treasures, some even boasting ballet themed bits and bobs!
And as if a fairytale trip wasn't enough, Carlisle delivered some real treats when it came to ballet, which, as you all know, is a big part of my life. On my last evening there, I enjoyed a spectacular performance by the local ballet company at a beautiful Victorian theater - you can imagine the sheer delight it brought! The dancers were simply divine, gliding across the stage in a dazzling array of tutus that had my heart aflutter. I can’t even begin to explain how many times I said “wow” and clapped in pure, excited delight during the performance - it was so mesmerising!
