Crosby Calling!
Hello my gorgeous lovelies!
Itās Emma here, coming to you live from sunny Crosby. You won't believe this! Itās only taken me, well, my entire life really, but finally I'm here, in Crosby, Liverpool! For the past month, itās been on my list as a āmust-seeā and today, thanks to my favourite train carriage, it's finally happening! This journey, through rolling green hills and past charming market towns, was quite magical.
Remember my dream of a tutu-wearing safari? I thought, āhow exciting would it be to see zebras and lions sporting a delicate pink tutu?ā Well, my dear readers, guess who had a brush with wildlife this morning?! Cue dramatic music As the train chuffed through a clearing, I spotted a herd ofā¦ wait for itā¦ drumrollā¦ Cows! Yes, you read that right, my friends, COWS. Now, they weren't in pink tutus, unfortunately (my dreams are still a little ambitious, even for me), but let me tell you, they were quite the sight. There were cows of all shapes and sizes, black and white and brown and white, grazing peacefully. Such calm creatures! It brought back wonderful childhood memories of summers spent at my Grandmaās farm in Derbyshire, chasing fluffy lambs and getting covered in mud with the farm dogs.
Anyway, letās not get distracted. Crosby is calling! I have a rendezvous with a beautiful ballerina at the beautiful Crosby Coastal Park! You know, that one with Antony Gormleyās iron men, making their way out into the sea.
Did you know there is such a thing as āballet in the parkā? Apparently, so! And yes, I am absolutely wearing a tutu.
The day started off perfectly. A pink cupcake for breakfast (gotta keep those calories up for the dance moves) and a touch of lavender hand cream for my fingertips. Oh, and naturally, my trusty travel journal - I have a separate one for each trip and youād be surprised what exciting anecdotes find their way into these little books!
As I write this, the sky is blue, a gentle breeze whispers through the trees, and my heart beats with the rhythm of a waltz. The sea is right in front of me and you can feel the coolness in the air - perfect weather for ballet, wouldn't you agree?
Right, time to get moving! If you want to see me in action, catch me later on my Instagram stories (username @pinktutuemma - come say hi!) where Iāll be posting a sneak peek of my moves alongside some gorgeous photos.
Talking about gorgeous, this tutu is divine! Itās a gorgeous soft, flowing feather tutu in the palest shade of pink, perfect for dancing on a day like this. The softness against my skin, the delicate wispy layers - itās a true ballerinaās delight! And speaking of delight, I have a delightful little surprise for youā¦ I'm thinking of launching a line of my own pink tutus! Yes, you read that right, "Pink Tutu Emma" designs. My pink-tutu obsessed friends, the dream is becoming a reality! Think feather-light tutus, pastel pink swirls, sparkling sequins, and enough blush-toned tulle to bring any dance recital to life! Who would want a tutu by Pink Tutu Emma?!
Now, I need to dash, my fellow tutufarians. Thereās a world of waltzing and pirouette possibilities ahead of me! Don't forget to check back later to see some magnificent snaps of me and the iron men at Crosby Coastal Park. I've heard theyāre quite photogenic and Iām pretty sure I'm going to create some absolute ballet-fabulous photo opportunities today!
Have a sensational day filled with dreams, dance, and all things beautiful, and remember - always let your inner ballerina shine!
XOXO, Emma
P.S. I've started taking ballet lessons again - it's incredible how just 30 minutes a week can give you such a boost. I'm thinking about sharing some beginner's ballet routines for you, my lovely tutu lovers. Let me know in the comments if this is something you'd be interested in seeing. And if you have any fabulous ideas for tutus, please share those with me, too! The pink-tutu dream lives on!
