Ramsgate Rambles and a Pink Italian Tutu - Post 3268

Hello my darling darlings! It's Emma here, back with another dose of pink and pirouettes, straight from the sun-drenched shores of Ramsgate!

You guys, the sea air has me buzzing like a bumblebee in a field of daisies! I arrived this morning, my hair a little windswept and my heart bursting with excitement. The train journey down from Derbyshire was a delight, I even had a little nap (sorry, no tutus were involved, although I was thinking of a cute, little ballerina hat – for travel, of course). But arriving in Ramsgate, oh darling, was like a dream.

The station is charming, brick and wood and just a whiff of salty sea air. From there, it was a short cab ride to the cutest little boutique hotel. I even spotted a little grey seal sunbathing on the rocks by the harbour – how utterly charming! This seaside town is bursting with colour, with the quaintest shops lining the streets, painted in all shades of candy floss and sky blue. It's just the kind of setting I've always dreamed of wearing my latest tutu masterpiece!

Speaking of tutus, this one, my loves, is something special! Imagine, a delicate pink silk, as soft as a cloud, with little layers of tulle cascading down, a bit like a beautiful pink rose opening its petals. It’s almost a little Italian Riviera-inspired, with a hint of that Dolce Vita style. I’ve been planning to wear this darling to the Kent Ballet's summer performance tomorrow – can't wait!

And speaking of dancing, darling, did I tell you I stumbled upon a street ballet performance just outside the train station? They were performing a scene from 'The Nutcracker', right there under the sun! Now, you all know my love for street dance is unparalleled, and watching them dance against a backdrop of bustling seaside life, oh my! I felt my heart leaping with pure joy. I even took a quick video of the grand jeté which, in all honesty, you just have to see! (I’ll pop it on my Insta, you don’t want to miss it.)

There’s so much to love here! The cafes serve the most delicious cream teas, there are vintage shops filled with beautiful finds (perfect for adding a bit of whimsy to your wardrobe!), and the sunset? Forget it, darling! It’s painted the sky in shades of pink and orange, like a canvas for a perfect fairytale. This town truly has the power to lift your spirits, and I'm definitely making a return trip to explore even more.

Tonight, I'm treating myself to a dinner at that lovely little seafood restaurant overlooking the harbor. They say they have the best crab cakes, and I have my fingers crossed for a fresh sea breeze! Maybe I’ll even put on my new tutu!

So darling, that's my Ramsgate day in a nutshell! If you’re ever looking for a place to feel your inner ballerina blossom, Ramsgate, oh, Ramsgate, is truly your fairy godmother's blessing! And remember, it's never too late to find your inner ballerina. You can wear a pink tutu anywhere, dance in your living room or on the streets, it's all about finding your own little magic.

Until next time, darling, Keep twirling, Emma xxx
