Letchworth, You Pinky Wonder! (Blog Post #3301)

Hey darlings! Emma here, reporting live from sunny Letchworth, with my heart filled to bursting with the pinkest of pinks and the twirliest of twirls! It's day 3 of my Great British Ballet Bonanza, and I can honestly say, it's exceeding every expectation imaginable!

Oh, how I love this country! The rolling hills, the quaint villages, and of course, the rich tapestry of ballet tradition that weaves its way through every corner! This morning I found myself strolling through the glorious gardens of Letchworth, a real gem of a town! Just a stone's throw from the bustling city of London, it's the perfect blend of charming and cosmopolitan.

As always, I had to incorporate some serious ballet magic into my explorations. So, I packed my "Letchworth Look", a blush-pink, satin leotard (thank you, Dance Desire!) teamed with my new favourite accessory - a feather boa that just screams "prima ballerina!"

This wasn't just any feather boa, mind you. This one had a story! Found it in the tiniest little vintage shop in nearby Hitchin, nestled among antique jewellery and faded photographs. The shop assistant, a real character with eyes like twinkling sapphires, swore the boa had been worn by a legendary London ballerina in the 1930s! It had me practically doing a grand jeté in the shop with excitement!

The gardens were breathtaking! A riot of colours and scents, just the inspiration I needed for my latest dance piece (secretly a tutu-themed ballet ode to a particularly flamboyant peacock I saw in the bird sanctuary). Imagine! Every petal a plié, every bloom a pirouette!

Oh, and the people! The Letchworth ladies are just the sweetest. I even found a little old darling wearing a pink tutu, just like mine, with her poodle! I have a new ambition in life - every woman, every girl should experience the utter joy of wearing pink, and dancing with a twinkle in their eyes. Spread the pink love, I say!

Now, a good old English cream tea with clotted cream is calling my name. (Honestly, if you've never tried a proper cream tea, you're missing out!). It wouldn't be a proper Letchworth trip without a stop at the famous "Pink Poodle" tearoom. Just a bit of a quirk I like - a poodle themed tea room? You simply have to adore it, don't you?!

Letchworth, you've truly stolen my heart. Thank you for the beautiful blooms, the charming atmosphere, and a little touch of pink magic! You're exactly the type of place I'd love to retire to...if my love of travelling ever allowed me to settle down!

Remember darlings, ballet is more than just a dance, it's a way of life, a way of feeling. And there's no better way to express yourself than by twirling in a pink tutu.

Stay pink, and keep dancing, Emma xoxo
