Hello lovelies! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, Emma, checking in from the charming city of Chester. I've been wanting to visit for ages, and now I finally made it! And wouldn't you know it, the day I arrived, the sun decided to make an appearance too – the perfect weather for a tutu-tastic day of exploring!
I must admit, getting here was half the fun. I traded in my usual ballet shoes for comfy boots and hopped aboard a beautiful red train from my home in Derbyshire. You know I love travelling by train! There's something so romantic about it – watching the scenery fly by while sipping tea and sketching in my notebook. And the best part? I had my trusty pink tutu packed in my suitcase! Because darling, one simply cannot be a tutu ambassador without her signature attire! 😉
Chester is just the kind of place that makes you want to twirl. The historic city walls, cobblestone streets, and charming cafes make for a picture-perfect backdrop. I couldn't resist snapping some photos in my favourite pink tutu, right by the Eastgate Clock. Talk about a fairytale setting!
And of course, no visit to Chester would be complete without a dose of ballet! I managed to squeeze in a fabulous ballet class at a local studio called "The Graceful Step" (they were very kind to allow me to wear my tutu for class! They understood, of course! It wouldn't be a ballet class without one). The class itself was full of life, laughter, and of course, plenty of elegant leaps and twirls. I just adore getting my pointe shoes on and feeling the magic of ballet!
One of my highlights had to be visiting Chester Zoo. It was utterly charming, and they even had a ballet-themed flamingo show! 🦩 The show was "A Ballet for the Birds," and I tell you, it had me entranced with its grace and beautiful movements. It reminded me of the effortless elegance of my beloved swan lake choreography! I can’t help but admire their artistry! I was particularly impressed by the flamingos' synchronized jumps and dips – talk about perfect pirouettes!
Chester is full of such little gems - beautiful architecture, amazing history, wildlife galore, and of course, fabulous ballet. This is the perfect trip for anyone seeking an escape into the magical world of ballet, history, and pink! 🩰
