Crosby Calling! 🩰

Post number 3486

Hello my darlings! It’s Emma here, back with another little slice of life from your favourite pink tutu wearing ballerina, direct from… wait for it… Crosby! Yes, you heard that right! This little Derbyshire girl has swapped her usual scenic train rides for a jaunt on the coast, thanks to my latest adventure: the breathtakingly beautiful Crosby Beach!

Let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to dance their way through rows and rows of majestic sculptures, all crafted from the sea itself? The Iron Men, as they are called, are a sight to behold! I felt like I was stepping into a scene from a ballet! And that cyan tutu of mine just screamed against the backdrop of the vast sky and sandy shore. Talk about a perfect picture! 😉

You guys, I even managed to sneak in a quick pirouette or two alongside the Iron Men, though I admit I nearly took a tumble in the soft sand – not my best ballet performance! Thankfully, the beach was relatively empty, except for a gaggle of enthusiastic seagulls who seemed particularly interested in my tutu… well, I suppose the bright colours would attract attention! 😂

The best part? My journey to Crosby involved a horse! You heard that right, I traded my usual trusty steed – the train – for a magnificent grey mare. Yes, it was a bit of a challenge, a slight detour on the way, but it’s all part of the adventure! You guys, wouldn't you agree?

I have to admit, it was an absolute joy galloping across the beautiful English countryside. It reminded me of those old fairy tales I read as a child! And what’s even more fab? I had a chance to brush up on my horsemanship skills! I definitely felt the need for some good stretching after that long ride, so I popped into a ballet studio right near my accommodation in Liverpool. It was absolutely gorgeous!

The class was just what I needed. All that sea air really got my muscles working, but oh my goodness, that gorgeous ballet barre! And the beautiful arabesque by the window overlooking the river Mersey… pure bliss! I have to say, I've truly been smitten by Liverpool's ballet scene. The studio even has a special pink tutu display – they seemed so delighted I stopped by after class! I know I should feel like I'm a ballet professional, but they treat me just like a friend who loves to share a love for pink tutus. There's a new ballet theatre there that opened up and has a really cute cafè… it even served my favourite: rosewater macarons! A dancer's dream!

I think that this trip, all in all, is really starting to come together. And there’s still more to see! There’s so much in Liverpool to experience, but for today I wanted to share the joy of my new love of this city and all the beautiful natural scenery it offers.

And you know me, always trying to spread the pink tutu love. If you ever visit Crosby, or really any beach you want, try doing a quick little twirl with the ocean as your audience! It’s guaranteed to make you feel like a total star, plus it’s the best way to show the world how much you love ballet!

Stay fabulous, my dears! Until next time! 💕💖 Emma xx

P.S. I spotted a rather lovely family of ducks out on the beach today, their bright yellow beaks a real splash of colour! I had to snag a pic, of course! And you know, ducks, for some reason, really inspire me to take to the dance floor! They're just so... graceful, don’t you think? Especially when they're out there on the water, their bodies like perfect ballets of fluidity. If they can glide so gracefully on water, why can't we all have the same confidence in our own movements? I say we all try to get our inner swan going on!

*Just imagine, everyone in a pink tutu, twirling through life! Wouldn't that be just wonderful? We all have our own inner swan - let's set it free! *

**(Emma here, p.p.s. If anyone reading this happens to know how to get my blog on that very popular blog aggregator... a little hint to what that might be would be nice!)
