Bromsgrove: Where Pink Tutues Bloom!

Oh my darlings! Today has been absolutely divine. I just had to tell you all about it, as it's all so dreamy I don't even know where to start! Let me tell you, Bromsgrove in Worcestershire was an absolute delight - and a fitting place for the second stop on my Tutu Trail!

But first, tea! A quick stop in Derby this morning for a lovely breakfast with my mum. We've both got an insatiable love for good tea, you know, proper hot milky cups of the finest Earl Grey. My mum even gifted me a beautiful pink teapot to add to my collection. Isn't that divine?! Now, if only I had some of those delectable pink cupcakes she's famous for…

Anyway, the station was practically humming with excitement. The anticipation was palpable as I waited for my train. Yes, the train, darlings! Because it was absolutely stunning – an old steam train chugging along the track with an open carriage. The air was fresh and the scenery so lush. Perfect for enjoying a leisurely journey with my favourite pink tutu – the one with the iridescent sparkles, just perfect for catching the sun. And that’s what’s so wonderful about trains, they’re so much more romantic than that dreadful flying thingamajig!

Speaking of romance, have I told you about the horse riding club in the village where I'm staying? Every afternoon I go out on a beautiful chestnut mare named Rosie and gallop across the fields. There’s something about the feeling of freedom in the wind in your hair that's just pure bliss! Not to mention, Rosie looks stunning in a pink saddle cloth – it’s practically like wearing a tiny tutu herself, right?!

And the best bit about Bromsgrove was the ballet performance. It was at this amazing old theatre, all adorned with chandeliers and red velvet seats. My, how luxurious! And I saw the most incredible show – "The Firebird"! The story was simply magical, and the costumes, oh, simply gorgeous! My heart did a little flutter when one of the ballerinas wore a blush pink tutu. It was a delicate shade of pink, like a blush in the twilight, and matched her dance perfectly – just so captivating!

Don't even get me started on the dancers. Their artistry and grace left me absolutely mesmerized! I love how ballerinas capture emotions in their movements – joy, sorrow, anger – it’s truly beautiful to see! I took my notepad with me and did some serious sketching, because I know that some of my lovely pink-tutu followers are artists, and this will give you some inspiration, I promise you. Of course, no ballet performance is complete without some proper appreciation from the audience. It's what makes the experience feel even more magical! And of course, a good round of applause to encourage our performers is a must, right?!

Bromsgrove really surprised me! The whole village was absolutely teeming with life! It's a town bursting with energy – perfect for indulging in all those pink and fluffy things I love! Every single cafe, shop, and restaurant was painted a vibrant shade of pink, with cute little pink bows on the windows, too! It was absolutely magical! And, oh, the birds! Everywhere I went I could hear the beautiful sounds of a melodic symphony in every park and garden. I don't think I've ever seen so many different colours in birds – from robins to bluebirds to a flock of geese, with their adorable little honks. It really reminded me of the peaceful feeling I get from dancing – like everything falls into place when you listen to your heart and move with the rhythm of life!

Before I forget, don’t forget to head over to the Pink-Tutu Facebook group and share your favourite dance stories. I love reading them! It’s also a lovely place to share ideas, and let’s not forget our latest Pink Tutu Challenge - “Your Dance of Freedom”. That’s right! Go to your local park and dance freely! Whether it's ballet, hip hop, or a wild tango – let's express ourselves and show the world how beautifully we move! This month’s winner will get a personalised, handmade pink tutu – oh yes, you heard right! A chance to wear my very own creations – how divine!

Anyway, back to Bromsgrove. Did I tell you I discovered the cutest vintage clothing shop with a gorgeous selection of vintage tutus and fluffy dresses?! They weren't the conventional ones that you would see in a professional studio - instead, they had the most intricate patterns and delicate ribbons, each one absolutely unique! I just couldn't resist and I came away with a pair of stunning pink opera gloves – it was love at first sight, darlings.

Honestly, I had the most extraordinary day! From enjoying my Earl Grey with my Mum to the excitement of the steam train and horse riding through the green hills of Worcestershire, from a mesmerising ballet performance, to discovering hidden vintage gems – Bromsgrove gave me everything I needed.

And yes, it just got better, darlings. Imagine this: a magical twilight walk under a sky full of stars and me, swirling and twirling in my iridescent pink tutu. This is exactly how I wrapped up my day - just pure joy.

Now, I've gotta say goodbye and head for the next stop on my Tutu Trail: Edinburgh! Scotland is calling my name! Can't wait to discover all the beautiful and charming places there. But before I go, one final thought. There's something about embracing the joy of dancing, the romance of the open carriage, the wonder of ballet, and the freedom of galloping through fields, all sprinkled with pink – that fills my heart with the kind of happiness that's just infectious. So, come on, darlings! Get out there! Put on your pink tutu, and share some dance magic with the world!

Lots of love,

Emma
