Worthing Wonders: Pink Tutu & the Sea

Hello my gorgeous Tutu-lovers! It's Emma, your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballet enthusiast, coming to you live from sunny Worthing! β˜€οΈ

As you all know, I'm a huge fan of hopping on the train for a spontaneous adventure, and this time, I was feeling the call of the seaside. So, after a whirlwind of plies and arabesques at my ballet class in Derbyshire, I grabbed my trusty tutu bag (it’s pink, obviously!), packed my cutest pink polka-dot dress and, with a skip in my step, I headed to the station.

I've got to say, Worthing lived up to its seaside charm! The train journey was bliss, especially since I was lucky enough to be travelling with my adorable pink fluffy unicorn, Penelope. (You'll see her in my photos, she's an absolute darling!) Penelope is always my travel companion, her fluffy fur makes the train ride extra cosy, and she's fantastic for distracting little children who think my pink tutu is hilarious! πŸ˜‰

Worthing itself was simply magical. I'm a real sucker for Victorian seaside towns - the colourful beach huts, the smell of salt in the air, the gentle waves crashing against the shore. The place was buzzing with life! Families playing on the sand, children excitedly trying out the bouncy castle, couples enjoying ice cream, and I, of course, sporting my favourite pink tutu, feeling a million miles from the stresses of everyday life!

I just had to show off my dancing skills on the promenade, with Penelope happily posing for photos! Even the seagulls seemed impressed (they must be aware of the power of the pink tutu! πŸ˜‰ ). There's something incredibly liberating about performing in a public space, especially in a tutu! It makes you feel invincible, like you can do anything!

Speaking of feeling invincible, did you know that there's a real life circus here in Worthing? Talk about a childhood dream come true! They even had a charming horse and carriage, which I simply HAD to take a spin in. Of course, Penelope rode along with me. I love horses, and I always have this crazy notion that a horse and carriage ride in a tutu would make me feel like a modern-day princess! πŸ‘‘

I wouldn't be Emma, the Pink Tutu queen, without sharing my passion for ballet. While Worthing isn't exactly known as a ballet mecca, there were some wonderful sights! I even spotted a poster for a performance by the Worthing Theatre Group, with a stunning ballet dancer on the cover - she totally looked like a ballerina goddess in a billowing tulle skirt, giving off serious #balletgoals vibes! I mean, why don't we see more ballerinas strutting their stuff in these adorable outfits outside the stage?

After my little tour around Worthing, I went to see the sunset. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, I felt such a sense of peace and joy. It really struck me how important it is to take some time for yourself, to reconnect with nature and simply enjoy the little things in life.

Worthing, you’ve completely stolen my heart! It’s been a whirlwind of pink-tutu-clad adventure, laughter, and even a little bit of sunshine. But remember, even a little bit of sunshine is all it takes to turn a day into a ballet, a journey into an adventure, and life into a dream! πŸ’•

Until next time, keep your tutus twirling!

Lots of love, Emma x
