Tottenham: Tutu Adventures in the Big Smoke! 🩰💖

Hey my gorgeous Tutu Tribe!

Welcome back to www.pink-tutu.com, your one-stop shop for all things pink, twirly and fabulously ballerina-esque. Today's post marks a momentous occasion, number 3650! That's a whole lot of tutus, travel tales and tutu-spiration, wouldn't you say?

So, today I'm kicking things up a notch in the Big Smoke - London! I've packed my best European-style tutu, one with a gorgeous flowing skirt that's practically begging to be twirled in the sunshine. And sunshine we're having! (Who would've thought?) I boarded the train from Derbyshire, loving the view of the English countryside. Train travel has a certain romance, doesn't it?

Anyway, back to London. Tottenham, to be precise! I've heard whispers of a fabulous ballet school hidden amongst the charming back streets, a little gem waiting to be discovered. So, of course, I had to investigate! And let me tell you, this place is divine! It's got the whole Parisian feel to it – all airy studio windows and those gorgeous wood floors that you know are gonna sound amazing when I get my pirouettes going. I'm so excited to have a class here, you wouldn't believe it. Can't wait to show you some pictures later on in the blog post. It's the perfect mix of that classic ballet training mixed with some more modern, street-inspired moves, just my style!

But first, gotta embrace the whole Tottenham vibe, right? I'm heading over to a local market for a bit of people-watching and finding those one-of-a-kind gems that you just can't find anywhere else. I'm thinking a quirky hat to complement my tutu, maybe something with a bit of feather flair?

One of the things I love most about London is how easy it is to mix the ballet world with the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s like having a secret world inside a concrete jungle. There's a hidden treasure to be discovered around every corner – a tucked away café serving the best cappuccinos, or a charming vintage shop just bursting with forgotten fashion treasures. And for a ballet fanatic like me, that's just intoxicating.

So, after the market, I'm on a mission to find a little tearoom, the type with lace doilies and comfy velvet armchairs, where I can indulge in a cuppa and maybe a cheeky slice of Victoria sponge. Nothing screams "tea time in London" more than a classic Victoria sponge, wouldn't you say? And I'll be indulging in this experience, not forgetting to show you, my darling Tutu Tribe, everything!

Oh! and remember, everyone can do ballet! Don’t ever let anyone tell you you can’t. This little ballerina, right here, will be rooting for you every step of the way, tutu or not! And, trust me, a pink tutu just makes everything more fun! I dare you to find a place where it's not appropriate. Think about it, why stop at a dance studio? Why not pink tutus at the shops, in the park, or at your next evening function? I'm telling you, my dear readers, it's all about embracing that inner tutu queen and making the world a brighter, more fabulous place, one pirouette at a time.

After a truly inspiring afternoon of tutu-spiration and exploration in Tottenham, it's time for the evening's big event – a breathtaking ballet show! The stage is set for "Romeo and Juliet", and I'm ready for a night of heart-wrenching romance, dazzling choreography, and of course, more tutus. You already know I love a classic, right? The romanticism of these types of ballet are some of the things that have drawn me in over the years.

Oh, I have so much more to tell you about this whole experience, so get comfy, get a cup of something hot, because this is only half of the story! Later in this post I will bring you all the best pictures, my impressions of the market and what happened during my visit to that delightful tea room! It's time to talk all about the ballet. But, don’t go just yet - after my ballerina experience tonight I’ll be posting on the other big, exciting thing in London. You'll have to wait to hear about this one! I can't say too much - there's going to be lots of photos involved and let me just say this, it's not about ballet. But, of course, a certain ballerina may just make an appearance…

Talk to you all later, lovelies.

Emma xoxo 💖🩰
