Hey my lovelies! 👋 It’s your favourite Derbyshire-born tutu-wearing adventurer, Emma, back with another thrilling update from my pink-tinted world!
As you know, I simply adore exploring new corners of this wonderful world. And today, I'm setting off on a fab adventure – by train, naturally! The wheels on the bus (or rather, the rails) are taking me to the charming town of Basingstoke! I can't wait to see what sartorial wonders await me. ✨
But first, a little fashion chat! This morning, I had to pack my signature tutu of the day, and guess what? It's a sporty tutu! Yes, you heard right – pink, of course, but with a sleek, athletic vibe! Imagine: a soft, swirling tulle skirt but with a sporty, elastic waistband that's perfect for exploring a town. I paired it with a crisp white top, some chic trainers, and a vibrant pink bag – naturally! 💅
Let's be honest, sometimes travelling can be a little stressful, especially with the delays that often seem to happen with the best-laid rail plans. But my pink-tutu positivity prevails! 😉 I always pack my trusty book of ballet tips for a quick mental escape. Today I'm rereading my favourite passages from the amazing "Classical Ballet Technique" by Vaganova. Nothing helps to bring the inner ballerina out more! 🩰
Of course, I also can't resist a little musical accompaniment for my journeys. Right now, Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" is making its way through my headphones, filling the train carriage with an enchanting air of grace and beauty. I simply can't imagine a train journey without a soundtrack! 🎼
Speaking of beautiful music, what could be better than watching ballet in Basingstoke itself? Tonight I'm seeing the Basingstoke Ballet Company perform "Cinderella!" They're renowned for their elegance and grace, and I hear it's a real visual treat. Oh, how I love watching dancers bring stories to life – the shimmering costumes, the enchanting music, the expressive movement – it truly takes my breath away! 🤩
