Wembley, darling! Post Number 3665

Oh my goodness, darlings! I am just back from a whirlwind trip to Wembley Stadium and I'm positively buzzing with excitement. It's not every day you get to see a ballet performance in such an iconic location, is it? Now, let me tell you about this incredible experience, starting with... the tutu.

Because you know me, I had to go all out. Wembley, for a ballerina, demands a statement. I mean, wouldn't you feel a little lost in a venue like that without one? This tutu? It was custom-made, darling, in the most gorgeous blush pink satin with layers upon layers of tulle. And to top it all off? I added some handmade pearl and crystal embellishments. Think swans but sassier, a touch more pink-tutu and definitely a dash more fabulous.

I actually packed it in my suitcase all by myself, after all, I'm not one of those ballerinas who lets a mere tutu suitcase overwhelm her. The journey there was just wonderful! It was the train, naturally. No boring old cars for this girly girl, just the beautiful, romantic whoosh of the train ride. I love that you can see so much from the window - countryside flitting past, charming villages, and then that lovely, rolling London view as you head closer.

Honestly, it makes the arrival even more thrilling! Wembley, of course, is a big thing - it was electric! All those people, all dressed up, everyone heading for the biggest game in town. Even without the ballet, it would be amazing! Then add the most beautiful, flowing ballet and, oh my gosh! The whole event took on a different dimension.

And yes, dear readers, I did have my pink tutu in the stands, twirling as the ballet came to a close. The whole stadium was bathed in pink. Well, almost - I swear, by the end of it, everyone had caught the tutu fever. Even the big burly football players.

It was such a blast. You see, ballet and football are like two peas in a pod, just different sides of the same artistic coin! Don't be silly, everyone knows that. Both require extreme athleticism, dedication, and grace!

I was lucky enough to meet the star of the show after the performance! Such a lovely girl! She said I gave her an electric boost with my pink tutu, just imagine that! She even promised to try a pink tutu for her next show. Well, wouldn't that be a sight to behold! My dear reader, you really never know when inspiration might strike.

I love seeing people, especially big burly men, discovering the power and beauty of ballet! There is something really special about seeing how surprised and moved they get. It’s so satisfying for this ballerina. That’s my true calling, I believe! I am here to convince the world that everyone is secretly a dancer just waiting for a pink tutu and some good tunes. You are never too old or too strong, darling. The tutus are out there waiting, just for you!

Of course, I made sure I stopped by the Wembley market before I headed back to the station. You wouldn't believe the gorgeous handcrafted pieces! Some absolutely incredible ceramic flowers for the living room and some vintage hats in fabulous colours.

This girl knows her fashion. I picked out a couple of pretty vintage hats. Now I need to get back to my sewing and make myself some pink feather boas to match! Then we'll talk real showstopper. I'm picturing myself standing tall on my very own stage. I mean, it has to happen, doesn't it? Every girl has to find her place! Mine is just on stage...or perhaps at an exclusive tea party with all the beautiful flowers and an extravagant tiered cake. Why choose when you can have both, darling?

After the hustle and bustle of Wembley, a gentle train ride was just what I needed! A journey through the countryside brings the sweetest peace after the excitement, a true balancing act. But the pink-tutu moment for me wasn't at the performance... it was at the station. There was a gorgeous peacock roaming around the station! Now, imagine that! So unexpected! A regal, bright blue flash amidst the crowds.

I almost tripped over my own excitement when I spotted it, and I think I actually uttered Goodness gracious out loud. A few other people paused to appreciate the incredible creature with me! I thought to myself, this was meant to be! It’s like fate! I just knew the little peacock was on a mission for pink-tutu.com - the best kind of mission if you ask me, even if I haven't decided if it's for me, or if I'm for it yet.

The journey back to Derbyshire was the perfect time to reflect on it all - Wembley, the ballet, the gorgeous peacock, the sheer power of the pink tutu.

So my dear, if you're reading this and you are the tiniest bit hesitant to embrace your inner ballerina, to let out that inner twirl, then just picture the big burly footballers in Wembley, picture that beautiful peacock at the station, picture a fabulous tutu and your own pink ballet shoes. Then tell me, dear reader, does the pink-tutu life not beckon you? It does for me! You're one pink tutu, one amazing peacock and one trip to the ballet away from the pink tutu life, my darling, just let me know when you're ready.

The pink tutu waits!

Until next time, darling,

Emma xxx
