Royal Tunbridge Wells - Tutu Travels, Post #3733

Hello darlings! Emma here, your favourite tutu-touting traveller and all-round ballet enthusiast! As you know, my life is a whirlwind of tutus, travelling and the joy of dance - a truly fabulous ballet-infused fairytale. So, hold onto your tiaras and get ready to twirl into today’s adventure, as I take you on a fabulously pink journey to the enchanting Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Today's tutu? Oh darling, you'll never believe it - a pancake tutu! It's the most divine shade of pastel pink you've ever laid eyes on, just like the icing on a whimsical cupcake. I paired it with a fluffy, ivory-coloured sweater that makes my new ballerina bun pop - so darling, right? It’s like a little princess stepped out of a dream.

I journeyed to Tunbridge Wells, naturally, by train. It’s such a delightful way to travel, with so much time for admiring the scenery, soaking up the sun and - of course - working on my arabesques! (Honestly, trying to perform a perfect penché in a crowded carriage can be a bit tricky… but darling, one must try! )

And oh my goodness, Tunbridge Wells! Just the name conjures up visions of fairytale cottages and rose gardens! It's a picture-postcard town, really. The cobbled streets, the antique shops overflowing with beautiful trinkets, the air buzzing with excitement – it's all just so captivating.

Of course, I couldn’t resist indulging in a delicious cream tea, all proper pinky-finger-raised and scones slathered in clotted cream. Just like a royal occasion, my dears! I even found myself a charming little shop crammed full of tutus! Talk about a ballet-lover's dream! I simply had to snap up a little feather boa – pink, naturally - for my next performance.

My biggest excitement? The ballet class! I adore taking classes, and Tunbridge Wells didn't disappoint. It was a gorgeous studio, filled with sunshine and smiles. Everyone was so lovely, from the friendly teacher (who I believe secretly dreams of pink tutus as much as I do) to the delightful group of students. And let’s just say, they all appreciated my pancake tutu… even the men. (Just proves tutus really are universally appealing, darlings!)

Afterwards, we all gathered in the delightful little café next door, where I devoured a divine carrot cake. (Again, with the pastel colours! I just can’t resist!) It’s these lovely moments that truly fill my heart, moments spent in the company of those who understand the magic of dance. I'm already counting down the days until my next ballet class!

Speaking of magic, I just couldn’t leave Tunbridge Wells without taking a walk through the stunning Pantiles. You could spend a whole day browsing the quaint shops, sampling yummy treats and soaking up the ambiance. I swear, you could almost hear the fairies whispering secrets in the gardens and feel the ancient history radiating from the cobblestones. It's all just so incredibly magical.

After my idyllic Pantiles stroll, I happened upon a quaint tea room hidden away on a quiet side street. Oh, the allure of afternoon tea! With the light dappling through the windows and the soft music playing in the background, I felt utterly pampered and spoilt.

Now, for a little piece of Tunbridge Wells you can take home: I simply had to have a pink teapot, naturally! Just picture it, my dears, an elegant pink teapot perfectly complementing my pink tutu - pure bliss! And it will serve as a charming reminder of my wonderful day in this utterly captivating town.

And on that note, I bid you adieu! Until tomorrow, when I’ll be sharing the secrets of a truly fantastic vintage ballet costume I found (guess the colour!), and how I incorporated it into my routine! Remember, every day is a chance to be bold, be brave and twirl your way to a happy heart. Just make sure to keep that inner pink tutu shining!

With all my love and twirls,

Emma xx
